If PL has actually quit ant it is still unconfirmed, then good options would include Lee Clark and Di-Matteo for starters.
IF indeed there is a gap to fill (which is looking increasingly likely) Malky would be the sentimental choice. Personally I think Malky would be a very big change in ethos. He seems to run a much more relaxed ship than Lambert. Just from the outside that is how it appears. Would that be too big a change and therefore to big a risk? Would it be more sensible to bring in a manager of similar style to Lambert? Actually, I would love to see Lee Clarke here.
If Lambert has gone then Malky or Lee Clark ..............but NOT Steve Bruce, what he done as a manager? Or what about Gus Poyet at Brighton?
hughton is very amiable. there are plenty of options - we won't struggle to find a new boss, that's for sure
Chris Hughton, for me, with Lee Clark a close second. But NOT this guy, please "Football Mole ‏@Football_Mole Sources say Bruce will meet with Delia Smith and Karen Colman over the next 48 hours to iron out a deal to bring him to #NCFC"
karen colman isn't even at the club anymore! she certainly isn't involved in negotiating transfers and managerial appointments
He has done a great job there but is no where near good enough. He has one formation and if that does not work he has no plan B. Mind you it is possible thats because of a small squad but I think we should be aiming a bit higher.
A lot of people mentioning Lee Clark, personally don't like the idea. If Di Matteo doesn't get offered job at Chelsea, is he realistic? I actually am slightly puzzled with that. Champions League winner but surely would want a Premier League job this season, with Villa, Liverpool and West Brom (pretty much) filled that leaves us and Swansea. Personally I think he would be tempted young teams in which the player can go far.
Can someone please tell me when Paul lambert quit and is now Aston villa manager If this has been announced then I'll discuss this but nothing has happened so far apart from the sun reporting it And if you believe the sun, your a mug, not just for PL speculation.
it wasn't the sun who broke the story. it emanated from the midlands football correspondants and rehashed by the sun. no doubt they added some drama to it. trust me, he has left. doesn't mean he'll end up being villa gaffer but he won't be norwich's next season
The EDP are reporting "the walk out" Sky sports news is reporting PL representatives are meeting Villa today. That aside nothing, no hard facts, no official announcement
Not just the Sun Beefy, Sky Sports News too reporting representatives are talking to Villa and they mentioned on there about a bust up too.
