thats one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.
So if one team draws Real Madrid, Barca, Milan, etc in the knock outs and has 3 excellent ties, winning each by the single goal, then comes up against another finalist who drew MSK Zilina, Munchengladbach and Hapoel Tel Aviv and thrashed them all 4-0 then the latter finalist should win in the event of a draw at 90 mins cos he scored more goals? ROFL
The difference in class between yourself and City was obvious. Not only did they beat you on goal difference, but they got the double over you, thrashing you 6-1 in your own back yard.
And how did you win the 2008 final? A penalty shoot out. And how did you get there? By parking the bus for 180 minutes against Barcelona and scoring one goal. At least you had 11 men for the whole 180 with the second leg at home. And that Barca side was not even as good as it has been for the last four years. There was even mutiny in the Barca camp. Plus that year you had Van der sar, Ferdinand, Evra, Hargreaves, Giggs, Scholes, Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez etc who were all in peak condition.
In this instance it’s very different because as part of our campaign we beat last years holders, a team considered by the majority as the best club side in Europe (if not the world.) add this to actually winning the thing surely gives us the right to title.
We have a right to the title of Champions of Europe, because we ARE Champions of Europe!
But I just dont think, hand on heart we are the BEST team in Europe.

.Don't make me laugh any harder you twat. Man U bought EVERY title they ever won during the time they were the only team able to pay crazy money. Then along came Abramovich and Utd started whinging and whining it wasn't "fair". Up jumps Man City and they shout "foul " even louder.
Total absolute hypocrites, beaten at their own game, firstly by Chelsea, and then by Man City. Didn't hear Chelsea whinging about Man City, won't hear Man City when the next big spenders come along.

Its great to have pulled off the big one at last,but I reckon we had better claims to being the best in Europe when we we runners up and semi finalists!
