that is headline writers bullshit. Of course you know the council rules on planning? How appeals are lodged and the merits on which they are judged? You may very well have a grievance but i suspect you are directing it in the wrong place.
Ive just been reading through this thread ; to me the flaw is that there seems to be an unchallenged starting point in the arguments that accepts it is a parents unalienable right to inculcate their children into acceptance of their own ( ie parental ) belief system.
Yeah, it was on the "to do" list right after the "people of faith pay taxes too" line. These folk can only deal with one idea at a time. Wait for them to catch up first, then hit them with it.
Yes it has. and of course it is a disgrace. Protect the TV money by ensuring the likes of Pakistan don't get turfed out as they did back in 07 thanks to the Blarney army. “It is a dark day for cricket but a great day for greed and fear! It is hard to find words to describe this despicable decision made by some who want to keep things among themselves and some who fear us,” Ireland coach and west Indies legend Phil Simmons
Ah , did that achieve a semblance of sense ? Ive been working for about 18 hours straight ( no , not gay bollo ) and wasnt sure if it was me that was losing coherance or not
seriously , this is cricket , its about as welcome as **** on your shoe when youve forgotten to put shoes on ; its the pastime of the oppressor class.
Yes I got the point about private schools the first time hence my reply, they should have that status revoked if they are a faith school. You don't know it doesn't work as I don't know that it does but I believe it would make a difference. I also believe that schools should not be teaching religion to children but that's because I'm an atheist and I want a secular society. All things considered, it seems a good plan, it would get my vote.
Interesting you should say that. Rory Hamilton-Brown, just made captain of Surrey said; “People imagine that I am from old money,” he said, “but my dad came from Solihull and grew up with one warm bath a week. He was a carpenter who moved to the big smoke to work in commercial property, and he thought ‘Who’s going to notice Roger Brown? I’m going to have a double-barrelled surname and people will remember me then.’ “It caused a bit of confusion, especially when he went back home to play a league cricket match and everyone was asking ‘Who’s this Hamilton-Brown fellow?’ Then he arrived and they see it’s old Browny from Solihull.” One war RL...one war
Ah, we're back on to cricket. Seems it was Australia and New Zealand who came up with the idea and India that forced it through. Well, according to the "evil British media".
