    Whitejock, assets is only one way to value a business. Turnover and EBITDA are two others

    Interesting .....

    ADAM POPE ‏@APOPEY

    Reports suggesting 2 parties interested in buying #lufc. Had the following response from Toronto FC who are part of MLSE in Canada.

    RE #lufc "At this time we can not comment on the business transactions taking place within the TFC. Thanks for your understanding."

    Value is what someone is prepared to pay for something.

    The fpp rules will bring everything together to prevent exorbitant spending.

    A new owner could be just as bad but no way worse than bates or ridsdale

    He paid much more than a £1. Some dick rewriting history.

    He paid some £5m or £10m to acquire LUFC first time round, (or his backers did), from Krasner and then after the admin he put in a bid of some £3m and £18m would be wiped off the debt (ie it was amde up in order to guarantee him buying it), then he claimed he didn't own the club (so maybe someone else stumped up that £3m or maybe he was just hiding it) and then he said he had bought LUFC outright for £1.

    So it could really have cost him in the region of £13m and £1, or a lot less, but it was still millions

    They are keeping everything schtum !!! as long as we can buy decent players who cares, yes the ideal scenario would be bates gone, but if we could get up to the prem with investment then we would be such an attractive investment for potential buyers !!

    Initially I didn't care and thought it was all rubbish. Now I care and hope it isn't all rubbish. All I know is this is rubbish (not any of you or the thread) the feeling - mixtures of euphoria, trepidation, desperation and hope - but the feeling, well, the feeling is that this will all fizzle out like the soap opera addicts of LUFC are used to.

    If there is a football god, Soccerus? then please let this all go smoothly so we can buy players as soon as NW comes back.

    <confused>

    It's time for LUST to keep out of putting stuff into the public domain. Let the process take its course, and hopefully they are involved in it.

    Ward will be kicking himself for not waiting.

    This stuff will also be loked on by the players at LUFC with interest, Snoddy will wait and see, as will Ross and Brown. Clayton may be thinking that he no longer has to be sold, and Pearce may be thinking that things could yet come good. Colin will be salivating at the prospect of easier negotiations on funding.

    It looks like we could be the major hot story of the close season. Do the deal LUFC.
