Lancashire Telegraph reporter Suzanne Geldard also saying fee agreed. She was the one to report on Cork and Fox moves by Saints first last summer also I believe. It was the LT at least!

Big news, actually Alan nixon is about a credible as journo's get!

@reluctantnicko Just to clarify Alan, are the Jay-Rod and RC deals being conducted separately or is one dependent on the other?

@ConnorArmstrong If Rodriguez says yes, then Chaplow can go other way if he wants. If Rodriguez says no, Chaplow won't go.


@reluctantnicko So Saints are using Chaplow to get Burnley to co-operate in a way? Sounds interesting. Thx Al. JR deal is separate then.

This guy is going to be big, I would call him the modern day Lambert. Strong, Fit, Quick, Can win in the air and score goals and all at a young age. Not to mention he has played in one of the most inconsistent teams in the country so he has done very well to get noticed. It's all well saying he didn't play well against us but nor did anyone else from Burnley, we got promoted for a reason so he was always going to come up against it. Anyway, I will be over the moon if thiscomes through. Let's just hope this deal goes the extra mile compared to the other rumours and makes it to the St. Mary's boardroom.

Unlike the echo, I have faith in other local newspapers who have genuine relationships with their respective clubs.
