Yeah seems like it could happen. If we were to loose Chaplow though, I would expect us to look to bring in another CM. Only Hammond and Ward Prowse as cover isn't enough.

No worries, easily done! At last some transfer rumours that might actually have some legs! I have been reduced to watching the JPT final DVD recently in desperation at a lack of Southampton FC in my life <cool>
 
Anyone suggested Mohamed Diame yet? I know Liverpool and Arsenal and Tottenham are in for him... but hey, we're Southalona, right?
 
Agree with the above, don't think Chappers is a PL player sadly.

Clocking up a few strikers though!

I imagine Nigel's main 4 would be:

Rodriguez
Lee
Lambert
Sharp

Not too bad at all eh? Lambert is in his 30's now, but could go for some time, maybe NA sees JR as his replacement in years to come...?

Chaplow has just done an interview on player saying he's looking forward to Premiership football. Strange reaction to selling a player who has done decent service for the club, you got money on him moving or you baldist or you got a personal issue with him?
 
i'd be happy with rodriguez, that fee blows our apparent budget of £5m out of the water

Wouldn't read too much into it. Interviews were done when NA had the lads in for their "MOT's" before they cleared off for holidays!


Also, I think perhaps Cortese wants to signal intent by smashing the record fee with the first signing of the summer being a coveted young player with clear ability.

Would make sense, to me anyway. Anyone else?
 
JDub had a personal issue with Chaplow.



I think he was a great player personally and brings a togetherness to the squad and his very witty ways.

I think he will stay though
 
Big news, actually Alan nixon is about a credible as journo's get!

He said it's going to be a fast mover! Very interesting!

I haven't seen enough of him to say whether we are paying to much! Future star though I think!

Exciting stuff!
