Peyton Manning's a cool dude. When the Giants won it all, I was happy for Eli too. Warne was given a severe warning, in a county match, for arguing with the Umpire when he was given out. That is the ultimate sin on the cricket field and the sad thing is, the review system is going to provide us with more examples of that sort of behaviour, such as Ponting in the last Ashes series.
Doing a prolonged repair at the cricket...bashing a load of new soil flat. That will scuff up as soon as anyone runs on it. Never work.
I know he's not bowling yet but I just wanna say I love watching Swanny bowl. I've a real thing for spinners, and Swanny's a great guy too (apparently). My favourite sight in cricket is clean bowled by a spinner
That last wicket was totally down to me...as the bowler ran up, I said time for another wicket and wham, bam. I would do it again but you mustn't over use super powers.
It wont last (Notts home and Surrey away over the next seven days, and we'll do well to win either), but I'll enjoy it whilst it lasts.
I think today showed the beauty of Test cricket. WI arguably "won" both of the first two sessions today (people were expecting us to get to 550, maybe 600. Certainly have a bigger lead than 58.), but two out of three sessions isn't always enough. They've "lost" the third session miserably, and are facing imminant defeat. (Unless of course Sammy and Samuels replicate the first innings again, in which case the beauty of Test cricket will be highlighted yet again).
