Good stuff, pleased for the Terriers. Piss-poor standard of football though. We'd have torn both those teams a new one.
Blame Ched......not the keeper. Still, I reckon Swindon have got a contract all ready for him in 18mths time.
And what a way for Sheffield Utd to lose it in the penalty shoot-out... Gotta feel for Simonsen, Smithies shot thunders just through his grasps, then he smashes his penalty into the Atlantic... Poor guy.
Remember watching that, also if i recall right, one of the players was injured but couldnt be subbed so had to take a pen.
Sheff keeper who missed was MOTM too. He's out of contract, and on that peformance deserves another. He must feel bloody awful.
My son reckons there should be no shoot out in the play offs he says when extra time is up the team who finished higher in the league should be awarded the game that way the advantage is with the team who finished with the higher points total and the onus would be on the other side to win the game. After all the team who finish sixth maybe a shed load of points behind their opponents on the day would take a shoot out all day long. This format would give a slight edge to the higher placed team
I am delighted - after the furore about a chunk of sheff utd fans planning on protesting in support of that peice of filth ched evans after he was convicted of rape, I pray that sheff utd never get promoted and stay exactly where they are for years to some. Huddersfield deserve promotion anyway.
You can't condemn the club and all it's supporters because of a few idiots. I am pleased Huddersfield went up, though.
I agree in principle and on the grounds of fairness, but not sure what it would be like to play a game knowing a draw was enough for you and was so important. The other team would, of course, go all out for a win.
