Okay I know he hasn't had a lot of time at the helm but is it time for Leeds Rhinos to be seeking a new coach? Decent players being allowed to leave, poor performances and 8th in the league... My own opinion is yes let us get a new coach in before it is too late.

Ryan Bailey - Liability
Jones Buchanan - Concedes too many penalties
Lee Smith - Spectator
Brent Webb - Long past his sell by date

Team needs a few new faces...

Right, in putting a fiver on Leeds to win the grand final again now this has come back up
I hope you did put some money on them <ok> Notice how Web and Smith have left and had little impact this season while they were here. Bailey has got his act together and I eat my words on Buchanan he has been immense second half of the season

Seems like some people do not agree with you! Worth doing this though next year as your annual comment at this time to sack McDermott always results in a Leeds Grand Final win!

The Rhinos do turn it on when it matters, they were better on the day against every team that they played in the lead up to and including the final. However it is a fair comment that Warrington, Wigan and probably St Helens are all better teams than Leeds over the course of a season.

I love the playoffs and why wouldn't I, they have been the saviour of the Rhino's. Without them we wouldn't have won much and although they keep the excitement going to the end I find it strange in Rugby compared to football that the biggest glory doesn't come from winning the league.

As for the link, I disagree, yes on one hand it is great that we won from 5th position, on the other any other sporting format and 5th would never have won you anything. Brian is a great coach for winning two consecutive finals from 5th position. Should a team like the Rhinos have finished 5th two seasons on the trot?

Blackpool a couple of years ago won promotion to the Premiership coming from 6th position in the Championship.Clearly they were inferior across the season to the other 3 teams above them fighting for the promotion spot but they won the playoff.
