Didn't we have 5.5 million rejected in the summer for Jay Rod. Why would they accept 6 now?

Haha very good Reggie. It just seems pretty pointless waiting for 500k more when they could have taken the money in Jan, bought a few players in and maybe pushed for the play offs.

I would prefer some quality wide player and as I read briefly else where this morning, possibly Phillips and a central midfield player like Owen Hargreaves . Those two would make me sit up more.

If Hargreaves was fit and able to play 30+ games he'd be a fantastic signing. Unfortunately I don't think he'd be able too.

Rodriguez is also out of contract next summer and isn't going to sign a new deal so they want to sell now.

Right I'm dreaming again, so I thought I will share with you guys................

i was think what the team might look like next year,

    Davies
    Richardson, Jos, Jose, Fox
    Kalou, Morgan, Cork, Lallana
    Lambert, Hooper

For me i would love this, got mostly promoted team, with few new faces.
but could they make it in the prem??

Well, Burnley press officer has tweeted that nobody has made a bid for Rodriguez. So that puts paid to that theory!

Curious that Sibley retweeted it, either he's hinting there is interest, or more likely trying to answer lots of questions he's getting about it too.

Maybe for no wages but that won't happen. To me he runs around the pitch aimlessly.

No bids have been made for Rodriguez, according to the Burnley press officer.

Out of those two I'd rather have Hargreaves, but the same caveat applies to both of them — would want them on pay-as-you-play deals and would have to keep my fingers crossed all season. To be fair though, even if injured they'd be good characters to have around the club, bit like Jaidi or Connolly.

Has anyone else read the 'Pendle Today' online? It's Burnley's equivalent of the Echo, has a piece on our (alleged) bid on Jay Rod. The most interesting part for me is the line: "As Sam Allardyce looks to strengthen his squad...he ear-marked Rodriguez as a target, but he is only thought to be willing to pay £5 for him". £5! No thankyou, that's Sam's lunch money!
