Cheers for that Ellers. I would love to buy a season ticket for next season, but due to working shifts I can't guarantee getting to every game. Especially when so many games get moved around for TV purposes.
I've decided to upgrade to a season ticket this year rather than having a membership again - hopefully it'll give me more of a chance to get to some away games rather than having to wait for the Members on sale date (by which time the majority of last season's games had sold out!) so on advice of the Box Office I've registered my interest for an ST
My mate is doing that. He used to be a season ticket holder until the 'Goons' came. I reckon a few more season tickets this year from old fans coming home.
Me too. For various reasons haven't had an ST for many years, but seems like the sensible to do. I know I won't be able to get to every single game, but will make sure the seats are full when I can't.
It is indeed mate. Having said that though, I only missed three home games this season. ( Bolton, Wolves and Sunderland, can anyone spot the connection? ) I also have the added dilemma of my daughters. If I get a season ticket then they won't be able to go with me. I can't get them STs as they can't go to every game.
If your daughters are young it might be cost effective to get them STs as they are relatively cheap. Evem if they miss some games the average per game cost of the ST might make up the difference
What me and my mates are considering is getting 2 between 3 of you or even 4. Cost effective and means that you can divvy up the games between yourselves according to availability.
They're nine and ten, how much are Junior Hoops season tickets? Probably not a bad idea after all. If they don't go, can you sneak an adult in on them? We don't want any wasted seats.
Or if you wanted to be REALLY cheeky pretend they're both under 8 and get them in for free! Doubt your fireman friends will be able to pass for 7 though... I doubt you could get adults in on U16 but what me and my mates used to do to save on away days would be to take our old U16 season tickets with us to the stadium then when we were asked if we really were U16 we'd flash that and be waved straight through. Not only did it save us a fortune but we felt like criminal masterminds as well!
To be honest mate, I've only seen someone on the gate once checking if the child ticket was being used by a child. Your girls ST's would be £299 each (maybe with £25 off). I do think it's possible to upgrade the ticket to an adult when needed for a tenner or so (might be a bit more now) 'cos after all, the club would rather have a supporter there instead of an empty seat. As you know i go with my 2 lads and if one of us isnt going then i've not found a problem offing the spare ticket (luckily hasn't been often this year) and being on here makes it even easier.
My two boys are 15 and 12. I seem to recall working out it cost me £56 per game to sit in Ellerslie X Block. I missed a couple and my boys missed one but I have friends who went so the seats were always full.
