hey guys arsenal fan in peace. Just wondering do you think in the long run this may actually benefit your club. Obviously you will miss out on some transfer targets but i do feel you will get most like remy. Also i do see modric leaving but will he be that big a loss? I mean he is a quality player but has been terribly inconsistent recently and with the touted £35mil you may very well get a great replacement. I dont see your club allowing bale to leave even if he wants and your club is in a very strong financial position. Harry is great at finding a bargain (as much as i hate to admit it) and he would have probably gone for some irrespective of whether you guys made cl. It will also ease expectations the next year enabling you guys to play to your full capacity. There are plenty of strikers about the place and i imagine you will promote harry kane next season? and in defence i see caulker coming back, dawson being available and of course kaboul so one more addition and you're sorted basically.

Thanks mate. Makes a change from the idiot Wum's that you always get at these times. I suppose it would be easier to take if The Chavs actually deserved it. But for me, they were almost wholly negative, boring, and not to mention, extremely lucky, too! So, who says God hasn't got a sense of humour? I honestly would rather have seen you guys win it, at least you try and play attractive football.
Next season? Well, as you say, it depends on who we can keep, and who we can attract. Modric may go, it's true. I don't see any other significant departures at the moment though. I think we have the basis of a top side. Depending on whether Ade stays, we definitely need at least one top striker. If he's all about money, he's probably off to china or somewhere. Those are the only places that are going to pay him that sort of money.
We need to clear out the dead wood - Bentley, Jenas, Gomes, + a few others, and then try to provide more adequate cover in some places.

I can't see any benefits tbh.

Also, we now have a "10 points clear in 3rd and 2-0 up against 4th and ****ed it up" monkey on our backs to go with all the other monkeys we lug around.

Short term benefit - we know where we stand at the start of the transfer window, instead of having to wait to see whether we qualify through to the groups stage (which we would have needed to do even if we finished third).

Long term benefit - we have an opportunity to get rid of 'Arry before the window opens, let go those players that want out, and give a new manager a serious pot of money to start building a team in his own style. Of course, it's just an opportunity; whether it is taken or not isn't up to us.

Haha not really mate. I know it shouldn't be this way but although I live In London the amount of support Manu and to a lesser extent man city have riles me to the extent that I hate them more than spurs and on the same level as Chelsea. I would have WUMed mind had I not been so sentimental about the sport but had arsenal experienced what happen yesterday I would have been in a state of shock for a week/2 weeks. I actually hope we can compete on an equal footing so that we can enjoy the banter and everything provided we finish above you. Not trying to really console or wum you but rather convince you that it's not all bad. Your board is currently very depressing!

Results come in bursts due to luck and all kinds of other things. We shouldn't get hung up on the order in which things happened. We got one fewer point than a much better funded Arsenal and loads more than an even better funded Chelsea and Liverpool, over the whole season. Hardly a disaster
