    Hi guys,

    Liverpool fan in peace.

I was just wondering if you guys know how likely it is that Parker will be fit for the Euro's?

If he isnt then Jordan Henderson will take his place, which will be great experience for him.

Though Parker obviously gives us a stronger squad.

I'm sure he'd love to be fit for selection, but the less Spurs players involved with the England squad IMO the better. Less chance of injury and be well rested for next season.

Woy has pretty much sealed his fate selecting more or less the same players that have failed to produce at international level. What makes him think they can suceed now. As I said in another thread, he should have selected a squad of youngsters with something to prove and done away with the 'old guard'. At least that way, I'd give England some chance of a good tournament, and set them up nicely for the next WC quals. Either way the press will still hang him.

Not having a dig mate, but do you think that Gerrard should have been included given his injuries and form over the season?

I'd rather he didn't spend his Summer in some East European flea-pit pursuing yet another useless, lost cause. There's nothing to be gained, and much to lose. England haven't got a prayer, and he'll only share in the usual Red- Top inquests and blame apportioning that inevitably follows yet another brave, but fruitless effort, from yet another distinctly average England team.

I think every squad needs experience in it. Gerrard, Lampard, Barry and Terry all have experience of winning, all be it not with England.

My idea is you pick the 23 players you think bes fit together. I think Roy is right not to be to radically different.

I like seeing Liverpool players in the England squad. Its only mid season friendlies that bother me.

Is Defoe not going to leave Spurs this summer?

100% agree with Bald Archie. Why take players that won't be around for the 2014 World Cup. It would of been better to take the youngsters to give them the 'tournament' experience.

what happens tonight might have an effect on what happens with Defoe,if we get CL football i can see amajor striker being signed as we need one,and being inthe CL wi make it easier, will Defoe be happy as an impact sub, don't think so,but that,s what he would probably become.

Apparently if we get CL then Remy will be signed for around £15million.

Parker's struggling with injury, apparently, which is pretty bad news for England.
If he doesn't make it, then there's no obvious replacement for him.
Henderson's a very different player and the back four will be extremely exposed without a player of Parker's ilk.

I have a horrible feeling that someone like Phil Jones will end up playing there, with Jagielka drafted in to fill out the squad.

To be fair to Uncle Woy, thanks to the F.a, He's hardly been given any time to consider radical changes before he had to announce his squad for the Euros.

Well England havent got a prayer of winning the Euros whether Parker is fit or not and Jordan Horrenderson will only make them worse, so I`d probably prefer it if Parker had the summer off to get fully fit.

It is the most uninspiring England squad I can ever remember, players like Downing, Welbeck, Carroll, Walcott and Barry dont deserve to be there and Gerrard and Lampard have been picked on reputation, Gerrard in particular has done nothing last season to justify his selection.

It will be the same old 5hite, should have taken a younger squad and done away with the usual under achievers.

For youngsters, Carroll, Welbeck, Rooney, Walcott, Oxlade-Chambalain, Jones, Cahill, Hart will most likely be involved in 2014. Henderson to. Plus Young, Downing, Baines, Johnson and Milner will still be around.

Wilshere, Rodwell and Smalling are all injured. Otherwise they would possible to. At least two of them.
