Flippin heck - one of my Area Managers at work resigned today leaving me in the crapper and now Holty's off .... what next ???

Can only think it's about money and at Holty's age the chance of a bigger wedge in a higher profile club is what he wants. Hope it's not true but if it is he should command a decent fee as he is in contract and his value would have increased following last season's goal haul.

I'm just checking to see if I have run over any black cats ......

Random as **** this is not happy one bit talk about biting the hand that feeds you! I'm hearing Sunderland and Villa being mentioned speculation on twitter to be precise? But if that is true what an absolute insult.

Your wage cap was probably set when you got into the Championship and not envisaging a straight through promotion. First season in Prem they're all tied in but now you've survived I guess the gloves are off? Inevitable really when he's done so well that Moyes etc etc wouldn't come in for him

i hope its not cos we gave wilbrahimovic a free transfer. he is his best mate after all <yikes>

how much do you reckon he's worth? got to be £4m+, even at 31 after last season. he's got at least another 3 years in him - he's not exactly reliant on his pace - he could play for a number of years longer.

Given that the request has leaked to the press but seemingly the reason for it hasn't, do you think that makes it more likely it's an internal money thing?
It's just that I'd have thought if a press source could get the story of a request, they'd also know a club had come in.

oh dear Grunt Hulk wants out?
Better get 'manky teeth' to sell a few more cooking books to offer more money.

Funny how things can change so quickly. <ok>

It's interesting to see the little clubs on here giving it some, shows how much arse Holty has kicked over the years...

I don't know what this is all about but we'll see soon enough won't we.

This was my first thought too. Seems quite quick if thats the case. But maybe a rush of blood to the head after the clubs decision

just a theory at best, is holt handing a request in to make lambert come out and state his desire to either stay or leave?

Sounds hopeful at best to me mate. One can only suspect that he's had his head turned by a certain club. Who knows which one though, I would put my money on Sunderland because of O'Neill's love of big target men as strikers and the fact they seem to have a bit of money behind them.

Love all these fans from other clubs giving their wise words of wisdom...

Hopefully it's a wage issue. Let's wait for the facts before we start going mental.
