I wanna hear why to be honest. Either way if he leaves this summer I love him all the same and wish him all the best.

I agree with Supers, if he is unhappy we're best of getting rid, but I think he probably is doing the wrong thing I think Norwich is a perfect fit for him and I think he'll struggle to find the same form with another team.

Pretty stunned personally

Wasn't Moyes at the game when we played Blackburn despite Everton playing has both previously. They mentioned in commentary he must be scouting players but I didn't take much notice. Anyway we will see what happens
 
Apparently he wants more money... If its true Howson earns £7k a week more than him then surely he should be on par with him

Good luck lads, I guess this was going to happen sooner or later. My take on it is that he thinks he's missed out on the Euros by being at a 'small' club. Usual crap. Good luck
 
it won't be tied in to any potential move for lambert. if it was they've done it the wrong way round! i must say this is baffling, truly baffling. he's 31 so if he feels he has the chance to move to a club competing in europe it would make sense because it would be his last chance to fulfil that dream but i don't think he's realised just what he has at norwich and actually, how bloody lucky he is that he's been a part of it all. whatever happens, he's been a phenomenal, phenomenal player for our club. i fully expected him to reach 100+ goals for the club. its all very strange.
 
Everton would make an awful lot of sense. We know they've sniffed around in the past, and with his endless driving back home, it would make his life a lot easier. They'd fit the mould as a bigger club, and they'd also be unlikely to meet City's valuation of him.

All that said, I've no idea and that's probably all garbage!!

our top earner was holt at the beginning of last season - he was at the top of our wage cap so i find that story totally ludicrous. its not impossible that we've upped our wage cap during the season but by £7k? no chance
 
Lambert, Holt......true test of your board's ability to compete. You should have scraped survival like us, no-ones after Hughes or Helgusson...
 
Cant be bothered to read the whole thread but just saw this break on SSN's Who the **** does he think he is? Hes got himself mentioned in the same breath as the England squad and Norwich City made that. Made him actually, very disappointed with him and the fairytale that surronds him. But the first to throw my hands up & say I no nothing about the ins and outs of Norwich. All the best for the future either way <ok>

he does go back to carlisle quite often but he's got a young family who have only recently settled into a new home in norwich. i don't think it would be for geographical reasons to be honest <ok>

That's what I thought just remember reading when we signed howson he was on £22k a week and i thought our wage cap was £15k
