That was a spirited discussion about Blokes that looked hard - what about keepers that made you very nervous - i remember a keeper Tony Godfrey we would stand behind the goal on a day when the pitch was rock hard and the very first ball that came his way he would rush out towards the 18 yard box and we would scream watch out for the bounce !!! any memories !!!

I used to watch Swansea when Dai Davies was their keeper when they were last in the top flight and his own fans behind his goal used to call him Dai the Drop. They used to shout to him that he couldn't catch a bus. Apparently he was a Druid.

Bartez for utd was always funny to watch, as was gomes with spurs.

As for us, I dont like it when Barts there

no not for the blackpool game, just always thought it

I agree to an extent. Not sure he has been the same since his injury. TBF through he hasn't had many chances. Nigel and the Coaches must have seen something to keep persevering with him.

Other than that Blackpool game, I've always thought that Bart looked almost as good as Davis.

Almost.

Same. Looked great when he had his run in the Prem.

One of my favorite's was Mr Dave Beasant, who did okay for us but still made me nervous. Course Grobbelaar was the most scary, he and Claus never seemed to know what the other one was doing!

I remember Beasant trying to dribble it around their forward down on the bye line... obviously he got robbed and conceded a goal. He had a few of those moments! Still the best keeper we've had in terms of banter with the crowd, both home and away!

This game always sticks in my memory from my childhood...this was a display of goalkeeping ineptitude from Stewart Kennedy that started the long standing jokes about Scottish keepers....

On a side note...how many ex Saints players are in this video?....

Didn't we put 9 past a Wolves goalkeeper called Dave Mclaren and then sign him.. and guess what.. he was bl**dy awful

Bialkowski - always prone to blunders - West Brom pre season - at home against Crystal Palace a while back - and obviously the Blackpool game. Nerves effect him.

....... and it always sticks in my memeory not long after when Dalglish stuck it through Clemence`s legs.

This one goes to Chris Woods. He only played a few games for us before he broke something (arm, leg, dunno), but he was shocking.
