Ok. So by moving to City he's done both. Made more money and won a trophy. But, he doesn't have to open his smarmy gob and try to rub it in. Arrogant twat.

Agreed. Doesn't matter that it's against the Gooners, we need to condemn all behaviour like this.

And is he seriously claiming that he would have gone to City (the place to win trophies apparently) if they had paid him *less*?

i do agree with you Vim...for once it seems <laugh>

however in life..respect works both ways....only a mug allows it to be one way...regardless of his wages etc..why should he stay quiet when the perfect opportunity has presented itself to shove it down thousands of fans of his former club..who have taunted him....always baffles me when fans can almost wish death and disease on a player just because he left thier club...yet a player cant give a well thought out..reasonable reply...such as Samir Nasri did.

he is also human you know..probably got a family..kids maybe i dont know...all that comes before sucking up to a bunch of idiots from his former club who have selective thought processes and behave in a vile way..thats allowed yeah?

i think not..well played Nasri.

and these same idiots kiss Fabregas's arse..yet he shafted them too and had been flirting with Barca for years.

I've never liked the look of the slippery little git. It's that smarmy face of his. If you punched it once - you couldn't stop!

me or Nasri??

either way your incorrect Spurf...banter aside...they are vile towards him and now since he has the upper hand he is shoving it down their throats......he owes them nothing..not a home grown talent..never made promises.....infact asked for assurances before he signed..never saw them and left...for big bucks and trophies..no brainer.

Talking about having the upper hand and shoving down their throats, wernt you guys 13 points ahead of us at one stage challenging for the title? Some talk of a power shift?! <whistle>

3 posts on the forum and 2 of them are on the Spurs board. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Nasri's comments are unnecessary, but the fickle nature of Arsenal fans is unrelenting.
They appear to be easily fooled by platitudes and dislike the truth.
Various players have left in recent years for exactly the same reasons, yet some are hated for it and some are loved.
They seem to fall for the old "it's not you, it's me" every time.

and this is exactly the type of mentality Nasri had to cope with....irrelevent bollox...no wonder he had to put you and yours in your place <ok>

and judging from your username..i dont think you know much about what is right and wrong in football..chamakh <laugh>

Nasri's comments are at an interesting time with RVP deciding his future.
Stay for money or move for Silverware AND money.....
Mmmmmmm - difficult decision? Probably not for a 29/30 year old striker who is being lauded as one of the best players on the planet.
Wheres the exit door at the Emirates?? Oh, yes, it's the squeaky one - the most well used for the last year or so....

"I made the hard choice to come and fight for my place at a big club, where they never settle for second best, and I have proved it correct."

Erm, so 1 Fa cup and suddenly they are a big club compared to Arsenal?

and whats all that about never settling for second best....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007–08_Manchester_City_F.C._season

Their squad, a mere 5years ago when shinawatra first bought them.

In heindseight I'm sure Samir has been hankering for a move since he first came to English football, who could resist playing with the likes of Future rapist Ched Evans, or Paul Dickov.

Well, they are certainly more successful if not bigger!!! 1 cup in 7 years against..... Lol

Urr...yeah. I'm ashamed to say that was me. Stupid username to be perfectly honest.

Looking back on it now, I feel like a total prat <doh>

As for Nasri's comments, not really that fussed. Arsenal fans have given him stick all season and it's only fair if he retaliates back.

Reaping what you sow and all that...

Once again a reasoned reply!! <ok>
Are you really still a Gooner, mate?? Lol

Ammaar, i agree with most of what you say and everyone has a right to free speech and all but have you seen mugs grin? Its those two front teeth...

Is there any question that RVP would walk straight into the £ity first XI. Naz didn't.

He'd be behind Tevez, most definitely, and probably only equal with Balotelli.

Bibotelli will be sold, assuming they can find somebody who's as infantile as he is, to buy him. If RVP did go, what a choice for any manager to have to make! RVP, Aguero, Tevez. Three of the best strikers in the world!

And do you not think it is our club's fault partially for selling him to a rival? If we had sold him elsewhere, we wouldn't see these pictures of him with the Premier League title and that goofy grin everywehre!

He was still contracted to Arsenal and technically speaking, we could have sold him to anyone we wanted to or told him to honour his contract. We sold him to City because we got a healthy transfer fee - that is fair enough, but why sell to a club in the same league as we'd be weakening our own team and strengthening a rival?

We didn't even need the money, anyway. Arsenal have enough money as it is.

What I suggested above about selling elsewhere is what we did with Viera - he wanted to move to Real Madrid, but Wenger stayed firm and told him to stay put. Then we sold him to Juventus, but he sulked because he didn't leave when he wanted to nor did he move to the club he admired.

That's a reason why he's a representative for Manchester City and not Arsenal. He still holds a grudge against Wenger because he was the reason why the move from Arsenal to Madrid did not unfold.

But anyway, my point is that if Wenger wasn't afraid to tell players to 'know their place' about 7/8 years ago, then I don't see why he's had this gradual change of attitude. Perhaps it is our Chief Executive Gazidis that has influenced him, but I'm pretty sure Wenger is allowed to have a say in the club's imperative decisions.

Is it not also the club's fault that they let these players' contracts run down so far before they decide to sell. If it's obvious to all ( except Wenger ,maybe) that the player seems intent on leaving, surely it would be better to say " either sign here, or we'll put you up for sale now" by leaving it so late, you reduce the asking price, give the player the whip hand, and obviously, leave him able to negotiate even higher wages with his new club.
In Nasri's case it seemed perfectly obvious to all, bar Wenger, that he was leaving.
