He played for us though.....which says it all! In my time supporting Spurs, we have had only had a few solid keepers... Robbo, Friedel & sullivan - Walker - Gomes: "Coulda been a contender".... - Baardsen - Fulop
Only time i ever purchased a goalkeeper top was when Erik played..that nice baby blue with holsten on the front...and he wasnt a bad keeper at all...its not just his cult status that got him favour.
So does that mean that Arsenal paid Foster to get injured in the warm up, so they could then pay Fulop?
No Fulop paid Foster to feign the injury...split the winnings from his offshore account that all of a sudden had a big payement made into it.....i can see George Lucas knocking on my door anytime soon.
Foster got injured during the Bolton game. He's said that he didn't train all week, hoping that it would settle down.
i'm lucky enough to remember legend keeper Pat Jennings, deserved to be known as world's best keeper while at Spurs
Yeah, great keeper. He had absolutely huge hands. I can't remember who the game was against now, but a shot on goal was taken from about 25 yds out, and Pat caught the shot with one hand! Magic !
Certainly the greatest keeper I ever saw. Anyone else remember the two penalty saves at Klanfield around 73/74 season? There's a great picture of the ref celebrating the 2nd one!!!!!
Pat regularly played blinders at Anfield and went off to a round of applause from the Kop. I'm pretty sure we never won there in the league then though. Best goalkeeper I've seen play live.
you're right - that game was a 1-1 as I recall Have a feeling that there was at least a 20 year period from 1963 when we didn't win there. Even when we had that top side 81-84 I think we still used to get turned over by them!!
Pat Jennings one kick up the park always held in one hand, one bounce, goooooooaaaal!! Late 60s? against United lovely memories
