With the capacity set at 48,000 is time now right for the owners to look at enlarging the ground, and if so to what capacity should they raise it too. If we are going to have to come within the rules of the fair play league this avenue has to be looked at sooner rather then later. This is defenetly 1 avenue that would bring us alot of extra revenue for the future. Also any monet that we spend on enlarging the ground would fall outside the expeniture of the FFP.

I have heard that it is possible to extend both the North and South stands as it was supposed to be built so that the stands could eventually be expanded while they were building the ground.

STeady on. Takes a long time to build up sustained latent demand for tickets. Very few games at Arsenal go on general sales, hardly any league matches, I reckon the same for Man U.

I'm sure if United had a 100,000 stadium they would fill it, but things being cyclical, we could well see attendances generally decline in the next 10 years or so by which time United could be back 60,000 averages.

Around 55-60,000 is right for City, but is it worth it from 48,000. If you expanded to 75,000 you might be good for 2 - 3 years, but what happens when you have a couple of lean years?

Besides, Liverpool (no bias)/Arsenal/United I highly doubt any of the other clubs could pull in 60 thousand on a regular basis. City have an average of 45 thousand which is a hell of a lot of fans, to get to that level it takes years of success so that you can acquire a **** load of glory hunters, I wouldn't be in a rush for a bigger stadium this kills the atmosphere, look at the Emirates, Man U's home support is also poor considering how big it is and Anfield is only lively due to the Kop, the other 3 stands are fairly quite.
