If this is true you are getting two good pros -SCS is a very reliable defender and Wroe is a good passer - they have both been important players in our side and I wish them well.

I hope this is not true but have seen the rumour elswhere. If it is well you have yourself two very good players. Would be surprised if they would want to play the Westley way after playing such good passing football with us. By the way where have you seen this?

Not sure whether Wroe's good enough to inspire you to promotion next year, I'd say he's a solid player that could do a job in League One, and, in an ideal world, we'd keep him. As GMM says, he's a good pro and a good passer though, and he could possibly be a player that would flourish at a higher level. Surprised Westley's in for him, his Stevenage team were hardly the epitome of flair, attractive football and honesty, but he might be acting differently with a bigger budget and club at Preston.

As for SCS, he's a League One defender who's been stuck in League Two with us. Very good player, comfortable on the ball and incredibly composed. He also possess sufficient levels of pace and a good jump to make up for the fact he's not the burliest. I really, really rate him and would be gutted to see him leave.

If you pinch Collins as well, that will just push my levels of dislike for Westley for his Stevenage team (although he does deserve respect for their rise) through the bloody roof!

Thinking about it, I would compare the Wroe situation with Asa Hall - a good player who will do well, but not necessarily in the starting XI (when Dave McAllister was here) and therefore a little surprising to be moving to a bigger club.

Just seen it on Sky sports website so probably true . Preston is a big club but why would anyone want to play for Westley & Ridsdale after playing for Graham Turner

shows what an excellent in depth squad town have. already signed 2 of our youth plus asa hall of oxford, and emile heskey and lua lua making their minds up. sadly we may not be bidding for any of your lot of carrot crunchers.

and at least we have our own paid for new stadium, unlike the gas who share a ground with the much tarnished rugby club and a dunfords dairies distribution centre. i hear your new stadium may be mothballed, as the natives are restless. still when the rugby club move to trashton gate the gas can groundshare at newport county

The gas will have the UWE stadium by then, which will be far bigger and better than your ground. A bit like our teams really :)

You would have thought that they would have named it after their own manager rather than the Brentford boss.

I heard they were interested in calling it Stadium Harrold In T'south, or S.H.I.T for short.

Afternoon all seem to have started a war between Bristol and Shrewsbury but not to worry on that, in regards to the type of football Westley will be playing hoepfully it won't be the ale house garbage he played at Stevenage, signs are slightly encouraging but juries still out on the cockney wide boy. As for Ridsdale can't get his hands on the clubs money so we are safe in that respects suspect more of Stevenage's finest will be making their way to Deepdale.
