I suppose any buyer is better than none. Time will tell. I think it's all down to HMRC now. They could make an example of us and take a hit (which they can afford) or they could take a fraction of what they are owed. Here's hoping...

I'm a lot happier than I was on Friday. I was beginning to think the administrators were going to say none of the bids were acceptable and start winding up the club. If we can get a CVA agreed and keep the bulk of the squad together, we should be OK.

quote from Sheff Utd forum

I remember the cries of 'Charles Green, you've ****ed up our team' ringing round BDTBL in 1998 and also a car park protest. I despise the guy, but no more so than Trevor Birch. Both blagger idiots that got exposed when they were clearly out of their depth when facing difficult circumstances. Taking hefty salaries whilst making very poor decisions and then crippling United for years to come.I'd like to sit down and have a pint with both of these two (amongst other things) and ask them exactly how they managed to pull the wool over people's eyes in the first place.

:(

Bit of a hangover from yesterday, trying to get a mortgage for a selfbuild, need to lose a stone in 6 weeks for going on holiday.

Apart from that.

Heroin.

Oh, and I got banned from Follow Follow again <laugh>

They really are a bunch of inbred mutant ****s. The mods are all bitter jizzrags. I'm going to use it as my new 606, New IP, get on, rip the piss, get banned. <repeat>

Will be interesting to see who the other people in the consortium are.

If its Freddy Sheppard then we're ****ed.

Green denied that yesterday but said he was happy enough to take his money and add him to the consortium.

I'm not sure about this ****. Smart-arse answers but his numeracy isn't the best.

He said he gave Whyte a pound for the shares then gave him another pound out his own pocket for good measure. He then went on to say Whyte made a 200% profit out of it.

And this is the guy heading the consortium - let's hope he's not eventually in charge of the accounts <ok>

It's already been denied that Shepherd is on board. Having watched Green,s interview I thought he handled the questions put to him very well. Only time will tell I suppose but I'm cautiously optimistic. Harry and Super will be forming a suicide pact.

I've got to agree. He said the club would be run within its means and we'd never go into debt again, but then said we don't need to sell any players to raise finance. It's generally accepted that we'll have a £10million shortfall next season without any European football, so where does he magic up these missing millions from?
