Barton has now lost his credibility with our fans. MH would be a silly man to keep him as either a player or our captain. We all know the story about a leopard and its spots. To be honest QPR is in my blood, but i really don't wan't to be associated with a club that he plays for. I hope they look hard at his contract, i would be happy to see "terminated by mutual consent"

Roller, if anyone deserved to start an "I told you so" thread its you. You said right from the start what Barton would bring to the Club and now you've been proven right you should get the acknowledgement for that. Not least because you were attacked for your opinions at the time.

You're being overly dignified mate. Its time you stuck it up to those who slated ye.

Not my style mate, but thanks for the acknowledgment, not that you've exactly been his biggest fan either. I have been mildly amused at that way many have swung between loving him and hating him.

I may go back and try and find that thread for old time sake though ;)

Did nobody else give a chuckle inside when he went beserk? <whistle>

Just saying, I would've done the exact same thing, probably worse

Might be why I'm not a PL footballer mind, that and my lack of talent

That would be an expensive decision from Joey B. I'd be surprised if the club would have grounds to sack him without paying him off and not 100% that Hughes will want to anyway.

Not defending him in anyway...BUT he did get sent off for litterally nothing after Tevez hit him first and clearly lost it....his twitter comments though are crazy!

I couldnt really see it to be fair....camera seemed so far away....but if thats the case then I retract my sentiments....but anyway..who cares, we are Premier League!

There was only one replay of it mate to be fair. The guys I was with in the pub didn't see it either but I just managed to catch it and he certainly floored him to be honest Frank.

Ten heros and one stupid twat. We'd have won it with 11 men, or at least drawn. All that effort from the guys and our captain nearly throws it all away, after the tiniest provocation. Barton's reaction was self indulgent and childish. Such amazing discipline from ten men and such indiscipline from someone in a position of authority who ought to know better. No criticism of Barton can be great enough: he should hang his head in shame (but he won't, not genuine shame, at any rate). We can't afford that sort of behaviour from anyone in our squad. Despite some very good recent dispays, I'd rather move forward without him at QPR.

Passion = 10/10
Ability to contol his temper = 0/10

It will not be a popular post, but i can relate to his reaction! - The PL and FA really do need to take a good hard look at how they get the cheating elements out of the game. That said they will never change Joey, which is a real shame as without this hes actually a decent pro.

I don't think anyone is excusing what he did but it's incredible that the linesman can see Barton's from all that way away and not Tevez's. Barton is clearly an animal but they should both have walked.

Tevez was the one that went down.

1. It gives me no pleasure to be proved right about Barton but those that have defended him need to think long and hard about letting their support of QPR blind them to reality.
2. But just how a linesman who is 40 yards away can see one offence but not the other says all you need to know about the quality of officials we have endured this season. No wonder Barton got wound up even if his actions were stupid in the extreme.
3. The good news is that we have Anton standing by to take up the captaincy next season. Not only a sound defender, he has conducted himself like a gentleman all season.
4. And the other good news is that it makes a potential hard decision about Barton for Hughes much easier.
