I think today has just demonstrated why the PL is watched all round the world. 2nd best league in the world, maybe not quality wise, but for entertainment, only beaten by the Championship!

Nah, the Championship has nothing on that. It was a tense finale for us, but that can't compare to what we've seen today. Besides, there are far too many boring games between boring teams in the Championship, even if it is unpredictable.

This is the first PL season that has compared with the unpredictability of the Championship. The CS has been doing this for many seasons, but the same can't be said for the PL. The only reason why most of them haven't been a complete turnoff has been because Saints have been in there. This season has been building up and actually been matching the media hype, for once. And Saints are timing it rather nicely by going back into the mix, come August. Once again, it will automatically become the best league in the world. I shall always remember the lower leagues though.

Really, that surprises me, howcome (they have never splashed the cash around and while they do not have a massive fan base surely they cannot be in such a terrible state)?

Indeed, and they have assets in their facilities and Reebok stadium. Portsmouth have almost nothing bar a mock Tudor façade.
