The more I see of the loggerheads, the more they look like cartoon gargoyles. The only saving grace to that badge is the "Floreat Salopia". That should be incorporated with Lenny to make a much more presentable amalgam.

id rather fill a survey that says "fill in a couple of corners at the new meadow for a better atmosphere and stop that draft blowing through during the mid-winter freeze'!!
Now even if I agreed that it was a just campaign to change the badge, there is no way that I could ever support the actual change being implemented.
As I am sure everyone realises as those of us that have worked in organisations where even small changes to the logo, image etc, that the cost is not inconsiderable.
Now if some supporters want to go down the road of spending the club's limited hard earned cash on on the badge then so be it. I personally think if the club did have some "spare money" (look for the flying pigs here) that it would be far better spent on the playing side or filling in the corners.

Properly fitted electrics and TV sets that work beneath the Roland Wycherley stand, not the midget screen there at the moment. A decent electronic scoreboard that can be seen everywhere in the ground and a loudspeaker system which is reliable and can be heard other than when Ryan is using it. Need I go on.
The cost would be immense if all done at once, but could be done over a period of time with important items changing first. I know fully well that all of the crockery is branded and that in itself would be a couple of weeks worth of Matt Richards wage. I would even be happy with an evolvement of the badge. Replacing STFC with Floreat Salopia would be a start, but then replacing Clippy would be the best improvement. You could keep the circular shape and that would be less noticeable if items were phased in.

Not impressed by that statement, I'm not a fan of the new badge and it is a really poorly worded, patronising statement which implies people are taking away from the club's promotion by talking about the badge when that is simply not the case. I respect some people may be of the view that the new badge is adequate, and also that replacing it would incur a significant cost which may not be the best use of the club's finances at this moment in time.
However, belittling a huge issue which a large number of supporters feel incredibly strongly about and have done for so long by giving the pathetic and transparent excuse of its "copyright" status is shameful. The logo with loggerheads in it in place of that bloody clip-art lion would be no more difficult to copyright, as it's either an item which has its copyright licenses owned by Bill Gates or the Town Council. Therefore, if utilising the clip-art image is capable of being copyrighted, using some version of the club's - and Town's - historic emblem would be just as feasible.

i am apalled at the club statement but in the interests of the club, aj has after 5 years campaigning given up his campaign. i hope it will not be too long before my respect for the chairman and his board will be restored.

There is some pathetic talk on B & A about boycotting the club shop. Who benefits from that? There are much more important things to get wound up about-like on the playing side either positive or negative. Along side that the badge is a mere trifle.
Spend money on an enhanced contract for eg James Collins or on the not inconsiderable expense of changing the logo or boycott the club shop.
For any "real" supporter there should be only one choice.

Perhaps the campaign should be for a new badge to celebrate the promotion?
