is announced on Wednesday so simple who would you include and who would you leave out? For example Terry or Ferdinand or neither

    Bent or Defoe?

    Walcott or Oxo?

    Anyone got any surprise picks?

Holt deserves it, but won't get picked.

I hope Crouch does because I really like him as a player, and his England form is sensational.

Agree with you almost entirely but you HAVE to take 3 goalies, no choice. So i'd put in super kelv ;) and take out downing. Think I'd have to get adam johnson in there too, god knows in replace of who though

If we take Terry and Rio there's no point in even going, they are both slow as hell and past it imo. Gerrard is past it, he can't stay injury free for more then 5 matches. So why should he go?.
As for Downing???, he has played crap all season just ask the Liverpool fans. He can't even cross the ball!!.

We need to move on not keep on going back to the same old ****.

    My squad would be:

    GOALKEEPERS: Hart, Foster, Ruddy

DEFENDERS: Richards, Walker, Cahill, Jagielka, Jones, Caulker, Cole, Baines

MIDFIELDERS: Lennon, Chamberlain, Parker, Carrick, Gerrard, Lampard, Johnson, Young.

    STRIKERS: Rooney, Crouch, Sturridge, Holt.

(Being realistic in that even though Holt is unlikely to be picked he is more likely than Lambert)

I don't want JT in a England shirt again to be honest, let Caulker have experience as he has shone thus far)

    GK: Hart, Foster, Ruddy
    RB: Walker, Richards
    CB: Cahill, Lescott, Caulker, Shawcross
    LB: Cole, Baines

    RM: Chamberlain, Lennon
    CM: Jones, Parker, Lampard, Whittingham
    LM: Johnson, Young

    ST: Rooney, Crouch, Holt, Sturridge

Intentionally left out Rio and Terry as both are old and slow. Rio has too many injuries these days. Gerrard is also out as he hasn't been at his best for some time. I wouldn't have us sign Whittingham, but I do think the slower tempo and less joined up pressing of international football wold suit him. The guy gets his foot on the ball and dictates the play, something a lot English players struggle with. I expect someone will come up with a better option as I was short of ideas for central midfield playmakers.

Whoa whoa whoa, I like whittingham but the euros are a step to far for him. Gerrard has carried liverpool along with suarez without gerrard they'd be even worse of this year and without him carrying them they'd not of been attractive enough to sign suarez.

    I'd put

    Gerrard
    Lampard
    Carrick
    Barry
    Parker
    Jones
    Huddlestone
    Milner
    Danny murphy

All ahead of whittingham and thats off the top of my head.

I reckon rio should go but terry shouldn't. Rio is still half decent and a centre back who has done it all and is a cracking leader. Terry is a nasty **** and has played considerably worse than rio this season.

    My first 11 would be

    Hart
    Richards Lescott Ferdinand Cole
    Parker Carrick
    Young Gerrard Johnson/Chamberlain
    Rooney(when suspended Welbeck/Walcott)

Tell parker to sit and only sit while giving carrick the option of sitting but also spraying a pass or too, the front 3 can interchange.

My tactic until we get rooney back would be to use welbeck and play balls into him to hold up and then pass onto the midfield runners. If this system isn't/doesn't work(ing) I'd use walcott upfront to pull defenders all over the place and pump balls up the channel for him to run onto dragging at least 1 of a back 4 with him meaning you'd be left with 3v3 our 3 being Johnson/chambo, young and gerrard all of which could do great damage to a team if left with only one man to beat.

I really hope he picks youngish team to go out there. No point in taking the old lot they couldn't do it and it's time to move on. If we do pick the same old names then I will spend my time more productively in the summer.

Why are people picking Rio ? And Gerrard?. They are to old and injury prone.
Gerrard can not run anymore so he can't play attacking mid.

I really don't get why people say that one out of Terry and Ferdinand should go because of the Terry court-case? If that does cause a problem, then Terry doesn't go, he's the one causing the problem. IMO, neither should go, we have better CB's.

Surely he can't take Gerrard and Rio after this season? If Bent is fit he has to go.

It's interesting the choices that come up when people pick subjectively, but it's been an even bigger eye opener looking through different club stats objectively.

Have to agree with your comment about Gerrard, at the moment, Beef Dripping.
Liverpool's WIN RATE with him playing is awful this season, and their LOSS RATE greatly enhanced.

Some of the POSITIVE stats ...

    K Walker, S Parker, D Rose, T Walcott, A O-Chamberlain, A Cole, K Gibbs, J Terry, P Neville, D Gibson, J Carragher, A Carroll, A Johnson, W Rooney, P Scholes, M Carrick, D Wellbeck

    Clear NEGATIVES ...

    S Gerrard, L Baines, J Milner, G Barry, M Richards, A Young

Fair enough, like I said, short of Ideas and quite frankly none of that low who I didn't pick already inspire me with confidence. Is Wilshere back from injury yet?
