Of course we'd have to rename the team, I mean have to when Roman moves cos the CPO have the name and I'm guessing if the CPO don't cave he will anyway, and I suggest the BPS Blues.
Seriously now though. If the team moves without the CPO selling, the club really does have to change it's name, as only Chelsea FC can play at Stamford Bridge under the current agreement. Roman's company holds all the player registrations so I guess it would retain the league position. The CPO could continue Chelsea FC but it would have to start non-league. Could such a club maintain SB in those circumstances? Bates couldn't and he had a club top end of the Premiership and in Europe. Jokes aside, we do have a lot of plastics who would never hang around a non-league club. I know we have hundreds of thousands of 'fans' world wide, but truth is when Hoddle was in charge and we had a decent middle of the league team crowds at SB were closer to 30,000 and under than 40,000 (lower when we played Norwich).
