Yesterday Cardiff announced that they are changing their strip colours to Red with Black shorts. They therefore will have to drop the Bluebird logo. Someone has bribed them with £100 million to accept these changes. The rugby Cardiff Blues have returned to their old stadium so the Cardiff livery will be altered on the Stadium as well.

How would you feel if someone offered that sort of cash for such changes to our Club?

Gillingham are changing from their customary blue shirt next season to red...

I hasten to add this is for our centenary and in the design of the very first kit we wore under the name of Gillingham FC. The away kit will be blue. I think the only reason Gills fans have accepted it is because of the 'centenary' connection. Also note the change of badge, hence my avatar.

    And our kit's better!

Back to Sapphire's original post. Yes I would be interested. I know that a club's heritage and supporter culture is very important, especially to a club like Rovers, but £100million is a lot of money and the club could get a new stadium and a team capable of challenging in the Championship for that money.

Also people like Vincent Tan, or the Venky's or Portsmouth's numerous owners are only around for a few years whereas the club's heritage has been around for generations. Once these investors have gone, there is nothing to stop the club reverting to their original strip/stadium name/mascots/whatever.

Its all gone pear shaped for Cardiff. They dont want red shirts and the sponsors dont seem to keen to spend a lot more money

I suppose if we had an offer we couldn't refuse the quarters could become the away kit!

I actually liked the Black Arabs kit worn for the one game.

If they had put a yellow sash on the new away kit, then it would have been not dissimular to the old Black Arab kit - and I quite like that one as well!
