A survey of 15 of the 20 top-flight bosses by Premier League and League Managers' Association sponsors Barclays revealed 80% of them backed United to become champions for a record-breaking 19th time.

Only 7% of managers questioned felt second placed Arsenal would overhaul United, whom they trail by five points with a game in hand, and the same proportion backed Chelsea to complete a sensational comeback to close the nine-point gap - again with a game in hand - to Ferguson's side.

The majority of managers also dismissed the notion the competitiveness of the Premier League this season was down to a reduction in quality. Sixty per cent cited greater strength in depth as the biggest factor and only 7% believed it was the result of falling standards at top clubs.

And why have you posted this here? I guess Owen Coyle backed you after us losing to you, wouldn't blame him.

    1. Why wouldn't they? Especially earlier in the season when you had at least one massive stroke of luck per game (not that I'm denying the quality and resilience in your squad).

    2. Who was the one manager who said otherwise? Wenger, or was it that beautiful crackpot Ollie Holloway having an April Fool?

    3. Agreed. Whoever wins it this year will surely go down as the worst winners of the top division in a very long time. (Kind of an oxymoron I know, but you know what I mean).

What a load of pointless ****. A survey also said today that the majority of 70 people asked at random agreed that crisps are indeed crispy... <doh>
