With Cardiff owners about the change the color of their home kit from Blue to Red, it just shows that some foreign investors just dont get football and some probably never will. Venkys at Blackburn clearly dont have a clue and basically they only have themselves to blame for Blackburn getting relegated. At Hull Nick Barmby was sacked for making comments to the media and what he said wasnt even that bad.
Now the Cardiff board are trying the change the whole clubs heritage by changing the shirt color. Luckily our owners havent tried to change any of the clubs heritage and hopefully they never try to but if they come out and said they wanted to play in red instead of blue next season how would you react? In america Red bull brought New york and changed the name to the New York red bulls. That would never work or be accepted in this country but no one has a problem with it in America
The owners have changed the stadium name but because it was sponsorship before hand people wasnt that bothered over them doing it. Had we still been at Filbert Street and they changed the name then the story would have been totally different.
As of yet i havent had any problems with what the owners have done with branding. Yes King Power is only practically everything but they are putting millions in its only fair they get some advertising from it
So how far can owners go at re-branding a club before they go too far?
