Hello chaps and chappeses! You may remember a while back I did a few 'Best' threads, and now I've done a best videogames thread! Unfortunately you can no longer have threads over more than one board (although if mod's can still make a thread appear over multiple boards, then I'd appreciate it if you did that with the other thread and delete this one!) but I'd still quite interested to hear the views from Saint's fans as well. So, with that in mind you can find the thread here:

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/143572-Best-videogames?p=2784117#post2784117

If you like, join the discussion!

Or you can discuss in this thread, I guess but it'd be good to get everyone in the same thread!

    Yes.

Let discuss this on our own well-financed fish-free forum :D

In it's day, I recognize Goldeneye for the N64 as the best game ever.

Oh dear, once I saw the name of this thread I knew it would be full of bullshit about FIFA and COD. I'm sure those of us who can remember more than five years ago are aware that gaming used to be a lot better. My favourite moments in gaming were on my PS1 as a kid. Final Fantasy 8 blew my mind. Hogs of War was awesome and hilarious. The best shooting game ever released, by a long long way, is Timesplitters 2. COD-lovers know nothing.

Oh and let's not forget the classic Pokemon games. Revolutionised the RPG.

MGS4: Guns of the Patriots. Has by far the best storyline in a game ever.

Can't go far wrong with the Total War games if you like that sort of thing. That is, if you're fortunate enough to have a high-spec PC which can run the newer ones.

I dunno, Dynasty Warriors 7 was quite different to any previous ones.

The Timesplitters series is a great series, definitely

I also quite like Populous The Beginning. That was a great game! There were some good games around 1998.

The best Total War, IMO, was Medieval: Total War. Great game!

Anyhow, I'll link to this thread in the Portsmouth forum then, to encourage cross-Solent discussion! :D
