What is that song the Scousers are singing about JT's mum ?? I can't make out the words. It's definitely a different song to what we sing.
Sturridge is half a good player. He's good at creating opportunities for himself. But he plays one on eleven. I'm not sure he knows what a pass is.
He's far too greedy but I can understand his frustrations at being played out of position all the time.
Couldn't make it out either. I don't think I've even heard us sing one about his Mum before, how does that go?
We sing two songs - "She'll be running round Tesco's with her dinner in her coat, singing John Terry's mother is a thief..." and "John Ter-ry, you're mum's a thief"
Yeah, god knows where Kennedy's advisors were. The Germans must have been quietly pissing themselves!
Chelsea finishing 6th and dependent on winning the CL is not good. If they don't win it then who's going to coach them next season? And if they don't win it then I'll say that they won't make top 4 next season. A mass exodus of players could be dangerous.
Defoe out yes but Sturridge for me hasn't been consistent enough this season and wouldn't be a good replacement.
I've always rated Sturridge as a striker. Lately, however, I'm starting to have second thoughts. Football is a team game, and as the Americans would put it to him, there's no "I" in Team.
I have noticed over the years that a bad ending to a season normally means a bad start to the next one and Chelsea are ending very badly in the league. One for and six against in the last two matches is dire. This coach of theirs will not stand the heat at Chelsea and won't last.
I like Sturridge, but he's been used as a winger by Chelsea a lot this season and I don't think it suits him, at all. Be interesting to see how he's involved in the internationals this summer and if he makes it into either the squad for the Euros or the Olympics.
Wandering,I think their luck will run out against Bayern which means that they will have lost their last two CL finals. If they don't win it then I cannot see them making it again.
An article in the Standard saying Chelsea "can't afford to miss out" on the CL goldmine. Maybe true, but that doesn't mean they - or any other club - is entitled to them season after season.
