Time to make a commitment whichever league we are in next year and go for a season ticket (2 actually, don't suppose there will be much discount for a 16 year old). Happy coincidence that my son is moving school and will be playing his rugby for a club on Sunday mornings rather than Saturdays and my work commitments ruining more Sundays than Saturdays. Plus wife has noticed ample opportunity for shopping up West.

Advice - what's the best place to go for? For years I sat in what must be W block ( or the one next to x block) now. Sat in x block - enjoyed the interaction with the away fans - a couple of times this year, but views not great higher up and most visits have been in the Upper Loft - good but should be livelier. I have only sat in South Africa Road twice in 40 years of following the Rs, not on the list but could be persuaded. If there is anywhere that can accommodate a 6 foot 1 pair of legs with minimum pain I'd love to know.

All advice carefully considered......

P.S. any idea of when they go on sale?

Im in R but for the view Id go to S block around 1/3 of the way up. My mates there and his view is brilliant. Also you're closer to the Loft which is nice and get a good view of opposite end.

Not a great atmosphere though.

I'm in S block, row G. Great view apart from a supporting post that blocks the view across to the away end corner flag.
Great seats for me and the two boys and I actually find the atmosphere really good in there!!

West Paddock for me. Great interaction with away fans and players, feel like you are right in the game, not a bad view either (though hard to see offsides sometimes). Also the cheapest seats available when like me you are paying for more than your own.
Worst thing is you get soaked when it rains but to be fair, this year hasn't been too bad.

By the sound of it your probably sitting right beside my mate! I was surprised when he said that the atmosphere wasnt great. Id have thought the noise would easily travel over. In all honesty if I didnt stand in the R block Id go to S. Close to the Loft, good view and close to the atmosphere.

I used to be in the West Paddock. CL Row A seat 70. I loved it as you could hear the managers barking instructions and the jip with the away fans was always entertaining. Not to mention being IN the game. Great for kids. Always felt a bit disconnected with the Loft though. The views not great and its quite far away.

Thanks lads keep it coming, this is a big investment in terms of cash but also time - probably 4 hours driving involved per game, depending on the A40/M40 - so I will listen to all advice in my quest for view, atmosphere and( the Holy Grail) leg room. S block looking strong so far.
