Just seen that Liverpool may sell stadium naming rights if they leave Anfield. I remembered how we reacted to being called the Friends Provident Stadium (and the subsequent addition of St Marys). Some names are better than others, but would hate it if it kept changing. Knowing how business minded the Don is, what would you think if we were renamed. What name would be acceptable?

Absolutely right. I do love your "handle" Fran. Seeing Markus taking his own photos with his little camera at Wembley seemed to sum up the pleasure he obviously got as a fan. He never had the ego which frequently accompanies wealth. The pictures he took, obviously wouldn't have him in them. He has a place in our hearts and doesn't need a name check.
 
In my mind I do not think that ML would have liked the stadium named after him. He is not the same kind of person say as Madaski or similar. He was a very quiet person. Perhaps a stand but not more. To be honest I would like something along the lines of the "St Mary's Dell " or maybe the "New Dell". Lets face it the old name's is an important part of our History.

Definitely. The thought of a stadium being named after some business makes me cringe. St Mary's is pretty suitable though so I don't see it changing any time soon.
 
Hopefully this never happens, theres nothing wrong with St Marys.
Take the Weston Homes Community Stadium for example, just sounds horrible!
 
I have never liked Corporate branding of stadia, so be it The Friends Provident or Fly Be Stadium is it now?, it will nevertheless always be St. Fairy's to me....<whistle>:emoticon-0116-evilg
