I think that a lot of that is writing off stuff that the previous owners ballsed up, to be fair. £30m-odd is down to a useless stadium plan, if I remember right.
I don't know why they're talking about building a new stadium - can't they just wait for Everton to build theirs in Kirkby, then steal it from under them? After all, they have previous in that department...

We're used to london teams moving as far away from their roots as possible, shameful memories I suppose. Doesn't surprise me, Abramovich has enough money to let SB rot until the CPO give up. The land is priceless.
