    Fearing? Not exactly.
Villa have been ****e this season and their performance at WHL was on a par with Blackburn's for spinelessness and lack of ambition.
No doubt they'll be a different prospect at Villa Park and you'd expect McLeish to have them fired up for their last home game, but their confidence must be low and they're struggling to score.
We have to go there and take the game to them, keep the ball, silence the crowd and take our chances.

If Everton beat Wolves, then Fulham's chances of nicking 7th are over.
They're a good side and Jol will undoubtedly be out to prove a point, but it might be hard for them to avoid holiday syndrome.
We were lucky to beat them at Craven Cottage, but we're normally very good at home.

As for the summer, who knows?
Even if we do finish in a CL place, we might still have to face the usual attempts to unsettle our best players and we might get bids that we can't turn down.
We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

You lost to Man City on Monday. Get over it.

    On your own board.

One thing I should've mentioned is that Newcastle have harder games than us, on paper at least.
Man City fighting for the title and an on-form Everton side pushing for a European place, though they may have already secured it.

Everton have no chance of European football?

Last night did a lot for our goal difference, also. Miles better than Newcastle, and now, better than The Chavs, too.

If any of the various rumors linking us to assorted attacking midfielders has any substance, we may be checking out replacements for Modric already.

    You're right actually, HD.
I forgot that the cup winner's place didn't go back into the league positions, as it normally does.

Unfortunately the GD on Chelsea doesn't help. For them to catch us they need to win 2 and we would have to draw or lose both. If that happened we would be behind them on goal difference or, probably, on goals scored if they are plus 2 goals for their wins.

If we beat Villa on Sunday then we finish above them.
A loss for Newcastle against City would virtually guarantee us a top 4 place, paired with that result.

A win for City. Hopefully! <laugh>

It'll be a tough game, but City have a couple of extra days rest and the massive boost of having beaten Utd.
The Geordies are at home though and they've been on an excellent run recently, barring the aberration against Wigan, so it should be a very close one.
I think that City will just nick it, but I wouldn't be surprised by any result, as Newcastle are capable of beating anyone or getting battered, too.
If they're missing a key player or two, then that could swing it.

Chelsea failed to give any of Newcastle's key players (i.e. Tiote) an injury or a suspension, so they won't be seriously weakened like they were during the ACON, but City know they have to win both their games to win the title. If City go out and play like they normally do, dominate midfield and grind the opposition down, they'll shade it - if they play a defensive game and allow Newcastle to come at them, they'll run the risk of dropping points.

The coach subbed the player off after about half an hour.
The player responded with sarcastic applause and an equally sarcastic thumbs up, which the coach didn't appreciate.
    Fisticuffs ensued.

    Fiorentina's fans backed their manager!

It's notable that the club say that, even though they sacked the manager, Ljajic will also be punished.

Liverpool's owners have written off another £49.4m.

They're plummeting down the Forbes list like they're plummeting down the Premier League...

Think it's more like matricide, given the amount of b1tching he's been doing recently ...
