Coocaddens Underpass
If you are stuck for something to do next bank holiday Monday, Pop along to the Memorial stadium where Bristol city legends will be playing the Rovers legends, this is a charity event for a cause I like to support as some friends of mine are involved. My son will also be playing in the City squad.

Some famous names playing in the game are.

Ricky Lambert.

Jason Roberts

And Lee Trundle and Ian Holloway to name a few.

I heard we have Hayles, Lambo, Cureton, Roberts, Holloway, Elliott, Hinton and Martyn coming along....Dont know who City got, but if this is true they better have some good quality celeb players or they will get hammered <laugh>

I have to say Chris I fear you may well be right, the line up is here. http://www.kickingoutforkids.org.uk/topmenu_events.php

Gary Owers took over as Manager last year from Scott murray and took it way to seriously, The gas boys weren't at all happy and I've got to say I cant blame them.

I will also say last year the official City contribution to this was woeful and Rovers shamed them by providing all the facilities and everything with no qualms at all.

This is a charity event for kids with life limiting illnesses and should be fun too..

All your support will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks YOBG..

It was a good laugh and great to see so many Bristol football legends - of various waistlines and hairlines!

Roberts was different class and Scotty Murray made some telling surges down the right. Where were you sat/stood in our state of the art sporting arena Banksy?

yes.

Just to say what a great job your stadium manager (Ian Holtby?) my apologies if that is wrong did yesterday, it was well set up all day. I had an 'all areas' pass so
it was great for me to be able mix with the guys in the changing rooms and meet and speak to some of our ex players (from both sides) who were all very friendly and gave their time generously.

The banter between the fans was good too and done in a good spirit. it may not be state of the art as you say but I quite like the Mem its quaint, like your Nan knitting...
