It's just crying out for a bit of common sense to be perfectly honest. If Nick has been suspended for the reason he's rumoured to have been the whole thing is ludicrous and the Allam's will be hard pushed to find anyone who'll back them over it if it's true what has happened.
What would make sense is that the Allams already have a buyer lined up who have their own Man. So, Nick Barmby is being managed out of the door with no compensation.
The Allam's don't have a buyer lined up, but they do have a manager lined by, it seems they've met with Billy Davies immediately after Nick's innocuous interview that offended them so much and they've been planning this ever since. It's shameful, it's absolutely ****ing disgusting, they haven't got a clue what they're doing, there isn't a single footballing man involved at the top level at City now.
Billy Davies will do a good job for you but he wont be happy unless the board back him. He has making snide remarks about the Forest board at every opportunity in the press so i cant see how that will work. Interesting times at Hull
Another official statement off the club. No comment on Nick Barmby. Adam Pearson left. Club NOT up for sale.
Exactly, it can ONLY be explained by the situation being contrived... Or they'd lose more money than NB was asking for in the price of the club falling like a rock... They either have firm plans ready to implement, or they need to all get round a table and sort it / apologise quickly.
Nothing about this "makes sense", sadly. Although it would be nice to imagine those at the top are thinking rationally, all the evidence at the moment suggests otherwise.
The words frying pan and fire spring to mind. As Proud Fox says - NOBODY criticises boardrooms more than Davies!!!!
Statement from the Allams: “When we acquired the football club we made it clear we would run it in accordance with sound... (cont)and proper business principles and procedures. We have not and will not deviate from those principles. Therefore although we (cont)fully appreciate the supporters’ and media’s desire for information we can not comment on the manager's position at the present time (cont)We will however provide further information when we are able to do so. Having listened to media speculation today over funds not being (cnt)available in the January transfer window, we reiterate that funds were available as previously stated by us. We also confirm the club (cont)has terminated the consultancy agreement with Adam Pearson without notice and without compensation. We are also aware of speculation (cont)about the club being up for sale. We can categorically confirm there is no truth in that & we're fully committed to HC and its future.”
I'm beginning to suspect that they know exactly what they're doing. The plan is probably to do everything superficially possible to keep the fans quiet for long enough for them to make a real killing in the transfer window. If they can convince the majority of fans to renew their season tickets that money will also help them escape without getting their fingers scorched while HCAFC burns. It's all about covert asset stripping now and I would suggest that people wait for some concrete assurances before they pump their season ticket money into the 'Allam's Great Escape Plan.'
FFS All our players are now at risk. NB can't be replaced when it comes to the respect the young ones have? Can he? Will this lead to exits and players losing faith? It isn't a new manager I fear, its losing the players we have...
They can't make a killing in the transfer window, the value we have in the playing squad is only a fraction of the money they've put in(this whole 'they haven't actually paid anything' stuff is complete bollocks). This is simply about them getting the hump with Nick and always getting their own way, so they've just thought, he's irritated me, I'll sack him. ****ers.
I didn't say they haven't paid anything OLM. What I'm suggesting is that the majority of the debt was offset to the club and the Allam's need significantly less than quoted to pay off their side and bail out.
Davies would whinge all of the time, he would also have a hell of a job getting the City faithful onside - but the Allam's also have that problem - so they need to do something quick!
Numbers don't stack up Craig, Assem may be bonkers, but he's not an idiot, this has nothing to do with finance, it's entirely about him getting his own way. As for Davies, I'd be amazed if he lasted a season.
I can't understand why the Allams have confirmed Adam Pearson has gone but will not comment on Barmby.
Well I respect the fact you know a lot more about it than me, but personally I would still advise caution until the Allams start being a bit more open about their part of the rescue package.
Can't believe this. My last hope was that they were planning on selling the club to Adam - but that certainly doesn't look likely. They are clever with their timing - means it is difficult for us to make a protest - and once the next game comes around, much of the current feeling may have been diluted. When is the Al Alhy game supposed to be played? Can't see much of a crowd for that one.
May have something to do with the type of contract they were on. Consultancy may be easier to terminate that fixed term employee.
