People are upset, I get that. But some of the comments on here are beyond reprehensible. £50M investment not enough for you? They bought the club when administration was looming. When nobody else wanted it.... and cleared the debt which came from previous mismanagement. There are maybe 5 clubs in ALL divisions that actually make money. Nobody buys a club to make money. Nobody who runs a hugely successful business buys a club thinking that it is a cash cow. They negotiated for 18 months (with nobody else interested) before buying it and would have bought the club WITH the stadium if that was their main reason for becoming owners. Yet there has to be a conspiracy behind everything these days. That the same council that has kept Hull in the run down state that it is in now, refuse to sell the stadium and surrounding area later to people who run a hugely successful local business employing many local people is questionable. The council only built it by selling off Kingston Communications. They didn't build anything and have only ever run the City into the ground. And now the Allam's are getting vilified when nobody has the first clue about the facts behind it because no official is saying anything. How do you all know there was not gross misconduct or worse? Because Barmby can do no wrong? Really? And why did we end up missing the playoffs if he is such an amazing manager? Local hero, yes. But great manager? That one is definitely open to question. The FACTS are NOT out there. So a little less racism, veiled threats and wild speculation might just be in order. Let's wait for the facts before getting too excited.
^ I agree, to a huge extent. So why the no comments?! I just hope we get a decent manager quick and the players stay... It is the rumour the club is up for sale that makes the above a little hard to take.... I just hope this blows over!!
I spoke to Adam recently and it was fairly obvious that he knew his days were numbered. He hinted that he'd known it since the Allam's arrived. They're mad. They know **** all about football(by their own admission), they have a man who's well respected, well connected and exceptionally good at his job, yet they can't see it. I despair, I really do.

perhaps a little extreme. or maybe simply pork pie the goal mouths as we did with tennis balls to david lloyd all those years ago
I'm waiting and it better be good... Manager / Owner fall out is one thing, the rest of the rumours are the worrying bit and the worry is they have chucked thier toys out the pram and given up. The first bit is acceptable, giving up isn't.
Apparently, Rosenior went into a rant about the disgusting treatment of Barmby at the OSC awards tonight. It's hard to not love Rosie.
Don't think there will be a rush to renew season tickets. Need to know what direction they are taking the club. I think they will already be shocked by the fans reaction.
The club's best ever manager was was sacked and nobody raised an eyelid. The club's best ever captain was given the boot and nobody raised an eyelid. By the time next season comes around we'll have already forgotten about it.
Crushing news if we've lost AP and NB, just as things were getting started.... Two massive blows, AP was our saviour and NB could have been. I feel distraught.
Erm, he was in the first team and asked for a transfer. It wasn't likely to be the board that got criticised was it?
I agree that running a club like a business isn't wrong. I think it's vital, unless it's run as a vanity project (Chelsea, Man City...). But there's more than one way to run a business. An extreme, but oddly legal approach is the MG Rover/Phoenix Partners model which emphasises telling the gullible and optimistic the kind of things they want to hear while asset stripping and ensuring that any residual value ends up in your personal off-shore account. Sadly football seems to have more than it's fair share of variations on this theme. Businesslike can ultimately mean good for me, bad for everyone else.
The Council regardless of your political persuasions have not as you allude to run this City into the ground.. there has been much regeneration in my lifetime in this city but that argument is for another day.. Yes the present incumbents of Brady and Geraghty have been difficult to deal with, but they firmly believe the KC (having been built with capital receipts from the part sale of of Kingston Communications under the then Labour Leadership of Pat Doyle) belongs in Council ownership. I would suggest almost every Hull FC supporter probably holds that view too. What concrete plans have the Allams ever had for a so called sports village? - none I would suggest. Similarly for Melton - stood in a field waving a plan of the Miller Partnership's layout of the KC I reckon.. Yes lets wait for the facts before getting too excited shall we - a statement by the Allams PR machine (does one exist?) might help in this respect. BTW where on this site has anyone said NB is an 'amazing' or 'great manager' - the guy after much soul searching took the job on and had he been given the opportunity to bring in a couple of players in the Jan window we might have got through mad March with more points after suffering inji=uries to key players Koren Chester & Hobbs. Being a first time poster I reckon in all probability you're not a City supporter.
Strange feeling tonight, not sure what to make of it all. Think we are in for a very very tough few months ahead!
Of course there is going to be talk on the message boards because of the lack of facts at the moment. People would be less shocked if they had sacked him for not getting the team promoted, might not have agreed with it but that happens in football but honestly who ever heard of a manager being suspended because he hints that he would like some money to spend, every other football manager has done exactly the same, he towed the club line for long enough in January saying he was happy with the players he had. I get the impression that the owners do not like anyone who questions their decisions and us as supporters have to be eternally grateful that they saved the club. Sorry but this is just the beginning I think the **** is going to hit the fan big style just when things were looking promising.
What did you all expect the club to do with the ground really? The council are hardly going to approve planning permission for them to build some huge money making scheme you are all dreaming up. I agree it's daft to suspend Barmby, however if he wants money we don't have what can they do? AP leaving is their stupidest mistake yet.
But the reality is that we don't KNOW why he was suspended, do we? Speculation is all we have. All the rest is noise.
We don't actually know he's been suspended either. All we know is that there's some situation surrounding his ongoing position as manager.
