I was exceptionally suprised how **** Leicester really were for a bunch of multi-million pound players. I have got used to us being awful, but Lesta were worse than I expected.
Beckford can clear off. I'm wont be sad to see the back of him. And yes for about 2M, he is a goalscorer and they ain't cheap. I would much rather see people like Nugent, Waghorn and Vassell giving their all for he team and not be half arsed like Beckford. He won't be back at Leeds as Beckford is about money and our owners wont sell him on the cheap. And let's face it Ken Bates won't spend
He's about money when it comes to everywhere but Leeds. He's never made it a secret how much he loves the club. He's made his money now and I could see him taking a significant drop in wages to come back, although I still don't see Bates going for it.
End of the day if he decides he wants to go to Leeds and nowhere else, you'll be forced into selling him for less or even cancelling his contract if you don't want to keep paying him.
We will take Snodgrass in return for Beckford as I've heard that Snodgrass wants Pemiership football and he has more chance of that with us than some non-descript West Yorkshire team.
You will take this the wrong way but here goes... In all honesty, what quality player would want to play for Leicester? It isn't a dig at you guys but why would a big name player choose to play for you for any reason other than the money? If you hadn't wasted so much cash in trying to attract players (who obviously joined for the money) you might have been a little nearer to achieving your dreams, instead you can only attract quality by waving the cash at them.
My sides! This is the man that you said "will" be top scorer by the end of this season. LOVE IT. HE'S LEEDS, AND HE KNOWS HE IS.
Exceptional training facilities. Quality stadium. Some wonderful places to live under half an hour away from the club. Solid fan base. Fabulous staff. Massive ambition. We're a PL club in all but name. Add to that the wages we can offer and it's only the fact we're not a PL club that holds us back.
Looking at the Leicester first team yesterday they are in exactly the position they should be, not one player was any good and they will need to spend the 20 million they spent last season again the next season!
Your whole set up is aimed at Championship football: Exceptional training facilities: (No they are not) Quality stadium. (Too small - It would need another tier adding for the Premiership Some wonderful places to live under half an hour away from the club: (So has every club in the land) Solid fan base: (Solid Rugby Union fan base ps. That's why your IKEA stadium was only the medium model) Fabulous staff: (So loyal they left you for Hull City) Massive ambition: (Massive ego's don't always equal ambition) But to be fair you could replace Wigan or Swansea as they are the exactly the same type of pre-packaged small town clubs.
Marko: yes we could see bates quite well, in the first half anyway. I think he must of stayed inside in the second half. The point of us going up there was just to have a good time, not to intimidate anyone at those prices there was never going to be loads of us 50-60 was away's going to be about it. I would of preferred the South Stand but when we got in the ESU it was great fun. Can't see me going to another home match for quite a while, yesterday was a one off. Just not prepared to pay those prices. Looking forward to a few away's next season though.
