Of course he did. Isn't the fact that Christopher Hitchens got cancer proof enough that the Bible must be true?
I've a mate, the same age as me, who believes in creationism. I say "how to **** can you explain the Dinosaurs, or the Neanderthals, or the carbon dating of rocks going back 4 billion years?" He says "I just have faith in the bible mate" I say "but the evidence!!??" He says "I just have faith" I say "" and it goes on and on.
One day the Creationists will admit they've been wumming us all along, and we'll wonder how we could have been so stupid.
I treat people who believe in creationism in the same way I treat people who believe in astrology, scrying and tarot readings. When you understand they're just simple, deluded fools you don't get
I get stressed when people willfully choose to be ignorant when dismissing every single argument with the cop out of "faith".
We argue most strongly about the things we're unsure about. Let the Lord back into your life Mick. Repent now before it's too late.
Blind Faith is a mystery to me but people who have it are doing me no harm, so as Rebel says, leave them to it, and get on your high horse about something else. You can no more prove God is a fairy story than the believers can prove he does exist so it's an unwinnable argument.
We're not talking about god though, we're talking about creationism. I can prove creationism is a load of balls, I can muster evidence that puts it far beyond doubt yet they still won't listen. Members of the DUP were trying to get them to put a creationist section in the Ulster Museum ffs.
True, but if you like a good argument then bible-bashers and their strange theories about creationism are a good way to get one.
No, I son't think it's true. I'm a Catholic, I go to church every Sunday, but it's obvious through fossil findings, evidence of evolution etc. that the world was not created by God in stages over 6 days. But it doesn't mean that I don't think God exists or created the world, far from it, but just that it was not in this way but in others that I've already explained.
Why is it, due to scientific evidence you don't believe in creationism yet with no evidence you believe in God?
I don't really know, if you put it like that. I just suppose that I think that the universe is too well ordered just to have happened by chance. What was here before the Big Bang? What triggered the Big Bang? And don't ask me where God was before the Big Bang, because I don't know
