The best case scenario would be Chelsea being 1-0 up until the 89th minute, where Bayern equalise - before scoring a winner in stoppage time. They really need to get that one out of their system, plus it would give Clive Tyldsley reason to bang on about being in Barcelona thirteen feckin' years ago... On the other hand, whilst the team are obnoxiousness personified (mainly due to their manager and a certain Portuguese hair gel model) it would be funny to see Real park the bus and kick Chelsea off the pitch, which will be a punch to the gut of Roman as they came so close yet also to their fans because Mourinho is the one who denied them.
now i would like that...however i dont think i could be watching the final up till the 89th minute thinking that we are going to lose out to Chelsea for a CL spot......why cant these dikheds behave when they know they are alredy on a yellow//Gustavo to miss final for Bayern too
When it comes to penalty shoot-outs, you don't want any English or Dutch players in your side - and you're playing with fire if you have Italian or French players, too. Robben, Ribery, Benzema and Diarra may be substituted...
notso i think Bayern are very very well organised and their attack is direct...something Barca are not...Bayern will not dilly dally around....good result and a big at Madrid penalties.
Dona - They've got good players suspended too, it all evens out mate, imo they're evenly matched in quality still available.
Could add pressure to them Luke. Anything's possible in this one, we could be in a situation where winning it is the only way we can be in it next season.
Southampton 4, Coventry 0 West Ham, SUCK ON IT!!! And in a wholly unrelated topic, anyone think we could loan them Harry Kane next season?
That's what I meant. Does it sound bad that, when I caught them go 2-0 up, my first thought was who we could loan them for a season's worth of PL experience at no risk to us? Kane, Townsend, or maybe a prospect we sign in the summer. As for loaning players to Wet Spam, Alnwick and Obika top the list...
Speaking of Kane, he's just equalised for Millwall against Blackpool. That's his 6th for them, I think. Good partnership with Keogh. Might not be a bad idea to send him back again next season, if we can't get him some Premier League experience.
That's Malouda out the door, at a guess. Now, how about we break from tradition and make some astute signings early. Going by players we've been linked to for a while, let's start with Rasmus Elm, Milos Krasic, Jerson Cabral and make our South American scout's day by bringing in Bruno Uvini, Julian Velazquez, Christian Ramirez and Ganso...
I think Malouda's out of contract, so he'll probably be off to China or Russia for some quick cash. How about Tomkins from that Essex Championship club? Looks like he could end up a decent centre-half. We need a few! EDIT: The Wilshere thing's probably to avoid the Olympics, Ammaar. I doubt he'd be risked at the Euros, but that's different.
