Just watched the interview with Fergus and Traynor from 2004 I think. Fergus really was a legend. Still can't believe fans booed him when unfurling the flag in 1998.
Fergus is one of the most influential figures in Celtic's history. I'd love to see a statue of The Bunnett, as I think he set us down the road of becoming the club we all want us to be. He certainly could show Murray a thing or two in how to keep promises.
Fergus said he'd be here for 5 years, build a stadium, and win the league. He did all 3. He laid the foundations for the glories of Martin & WGS.
I also love Fergus for standing up for Celtic against people like Jim Farry and indeed the media. Fergus never lost a case and also stood up to greedy players.
As time goes by and looking at Rangers sorry plight we can surely now give a vote of thanks to The Bunnett.
