Sorry, are you saying only Arsenal fans can note the irony that he said he was leaving Arsenal to win trophies with Barca, and in his debut season he's likely to win as many as he did with Arsenal for the last five years?

Actually, if they win the Copa Del Rey, he'll have just about justified his claim by winning one more...

The Article is entirely negative about Fabregas, why would a Spurs fan feel the need to make these observations? Because he wants to have a go at Arsenal's former player.

And, I repeat, don't pretend no Gooner has said the exact same thing in the last 24 hours.

Which, of course, wouldn't be bitter on their behalf, would it?

And they would be pathetic too!

The majority wish Fabregas well. He didnt have the best of games in this tie but who did for Barca thanks to Chelski's tactics completely negating them. Fab has been excellent in La Liga this season because he is a very talented player.

The article is neither positive nor negative about Fabregas.
It has only one point, which is to point out the irony of a player leaving a club to win things, only to still not win anything.
I'm sorry that this has confused you.

You're right, you can choose to completely misinterpret it, instead.
    Well done.

sometimes what happens in life is people see beyond the football..as it happens most of us Spurs fans are like that...he might be a talented footballer but he is a prick of a man..a coward and instigator of many a fight on that same pitch you laud him...on top of that he did play for our rivals and was derogatory to us due to his allegience and comments during that time.....so why do you expect us to like someone who had an issue with us as a club and would mock when he could, albeit in the name of rivalry?

p.s Terry is a good defender...talanted in his field....however how would you evaluate him as a man? his personality? would you leave anybody you care about in this guy's company? let alone bad mouth him.

I'm sorry that you're offended by other people being correct.

You do know that you can swear on this forum, by the way, don't you?

Ok the article is called "The Fabregas effect", it states Fabregas joins Barca and as a result (look what happens), they don't win either the league or the CL. Therefore its a pretty obvious suggestion that Fab's arrival has caused this failure, a negative assertion.

Secondly the childish insult "nice one trollface" also negative.

And finally the whole article is a nonsense as Fabregas never said he was leaving to win trophies, that was Nasri.

Sadly I have had to explain it to you because you can only see your own arrogant viewpoint. Thanks

No, it states that Fabregas joined Barca to win trophies and that they subsequently haven't won any yet, blowing their chances of winning the two that they hold in highest regard.
The insult is just that, an insult.

As for Fabregas not leaving because of the lack of trophies:
"We weren't winning any titles and it was very frustrating for me. I didn't feel like I was developing as I should be.
I want to be in a club that is able to win the big titles year after year and I don't see that kind of future for Arsenal."

Looks like he disagrees with you, doesn't it?

<doh> Repeating the same guff won't change the desired effect.
Pointing out that Fabregas actually said that he was leaving to win trophies doesn't appear to have changed your opinion about his reasons for leaving, for a start.

they wont win much with him in the team unless Xavi or Iniesta decides to join someone else..they play far too central with Messi always cut in and the crazy thing is they have become indoctrinated with this philosophy that on numerous occasions when Alves could have overlapped the full back to receive a through ball to get a cross in or a low drive he preffered to just stand parallel to Fabregas,Messi,Xavi and Iniesta and play tippy tappy...might work in the spanish league..however when coming across teams that play almost like a PL team as in direct and effective then they wil struggle...Madrid play direct attacking...all English clubs do as do Bundesliga teams...and it is fair to say out of the 4 semi finalists..Barca are the least effective with their plod, plod yawn!

I don't think that anyone here thinks any different.
He left to win things and hasn't done so as yet, though.

thats how it starts...one year becomes two...becomes an overhaul..becomes a rebuilding process...by which time the current stars are past it...........every empire falls my friend...however not all of us spot the cracks due to the blinkers.

its already a step down when you throw in Fabregas into a midfield centre containing Xavi and Iniesta.....Lampard or Gerrard in their prime would have been absoluely perfect as a 3rd central player but not Fabregas ...theres too many similar players that even the passing is predictable..at least with someone like Lampard or Gerrard you dont know if your going to get a 35 yard thunderbolt..or a direct head down run and shot or cross etc...variation is key for me here...that is why Messi is absolute class however as Ronaldo showed in the other semi...get the match by the scruff of the neck and get your head down and get some shots on goal..result?? 2 goals by 15 minutes....

I refer you back to my post 34 which is a justification of my interpretation of this article, the correct interpretation when you consider the OP has called it "The Fabregas effect". Your quote you claim is a direct quote from Fabregas is irrelevant to my argument or justification.

By the way a link to the quote would be nice as its probably just the tabloid rags or some on-line horse **** that reported that.

    This is just boring now.
You think that the OP's bitter, for some undefined reason and I don't.
You think that Fabregas left Arsenal because of loyalty to a club that he screwed over in the past and I don't.
This isn't going anywhere, is it?
