Joins Barcelona to win trophies and look what happens. No league title and no CL.

    Nice one trollface.

    <laugh> at the OP.

He added nothing to Barca in either leg imo, shadow of the player we've seen, weak link if anything compared to last years Barca.:) Big fish in a small pond with the Goons!

We have actually performed better without him. Arteta is not as talented or creative but a lot more solid defensively. And he actually wants to play for the club...

With all due respect to the Goons, at Arsenal he was a star player and looked special. Now however, he's playing with the REAL big boys, and he's just another player compared to the likes of Xavi, Iniesta etc.

They face Bilbao in the final of the Copa del Rey and it wouldn't surprise me if they lost that now, too.

Even if they win it, the Copa Del Ray is not what he went to Barcelona to win.

If you're Barcelona or Madrid then the only trophies worth winning are the Title or Champions League.

Not bad cover to have though, Lidls.
Long term replacement for Xavi, too.

    I agree.
They don't appear to have a Plan B, either.
    It's all a bit Arsenal.

Fabregas was shocking in both legs, wasn't he? Then again Messi wasn't up to much either.

To be fair, to Barca whilst they didn't have a plan B apart from move another player upfront they still had more than enough chances to beat Chelsea. They messed it up with poor finishing and hitting the bar an awful lot, whilst they came up against a team that took all but one of their chances over both legs.

I would agree, partly. They are still mesmerizing through their midfield interplay, and will eventually open up any defense. But yes, playing Fabregas with both Xavi and Iniesta just seems to crowd and over complicate things.
However, there is no doubt that they miss both Pedro and Villa. Particularly Villa. He's a deadly striker, and any team would miss him.

I don't buy Fabregas' sob story, SR.
If he was that attached to Barca, then why did he leave in the first place, screwing them out of a transfer fee and undoubtedly getting rewarded for doing so?
Would he have been so quick to demand a return to some random 2nd division Spanish side or did this just happen to suit his career down to the ground?

I'd have more respect for him if he was just honest about it, like Nasri was.

What a pathetic and bitter article. You should be more concerned with the battle for 3rd place with Chelski threatening to take 4th via the CL final!

    What's bitter about it?
What a ludicrous thing to say.

Because Fabregas is an excellent player and because he played for Arsenal where he did very well The OP has to write a bitter article like this.

    That makes no sense.
Fabregas leaving Arsenal was presumably a good thing for Spurs, so why would the OP be bitter about it? Surely he'd be happy to see him leave?
You haven't thought this one through, have you?
