Was just reading a Coventry forum and came across the following post:

    Our injury situation?

Err mmm. Deegan- injured, Clingan - injured, Hermann - injured, Christie- injured, Wood- injured, Cameron - injured, Bell - injured, Nimely -injured, Keogh - suspended.

Saturday we are going to have to throw a young academy kid into the centre of defense and that will then be the only fit defenders we have out their on the pitch. Keogh, our player of the season and probably only reasonably consistent player is going to be very sorely missed!

I'm sure we will try and give it a go but you really should have this one in the bag and win by a good 2 or 3 goals clear.

I know we shouldn't rely on other teams injuries but i thought i'd post it as anything that makes us more positive at the moment is a good thing in my eyes.

If we score early I can really see it being a rout and we'll be going we were all worrying about nothing on Saturday evening.

..um, no - not all. Some of us already know this will be a fantastic weekend. It's not as if some here are "glass half empty" rather than "glass half full" types - in this case the glass is full and the water is still pouring into it, and the usual suspects are still grumbling anyway!

A couple of early goals and then concentrate and keep the ball. If we have possession they can't score....Tse Fran...rules of war.

If you're not nervous at 12:29 on Saturday you are not human. Every Saints fan will be nervous - some more than others. I am confident we will win but it won't stop me from being nervous.

I'm so nervous that I don't think I'll have a drink, as I fear my nerves will get the better of me and I'll get so drunk that I won't know until Sunday what happened!

I know this is by no means an easy game but seeing this post has massively cheered me up!

We all (or most of us) will have some degree of nerves, from a few butterflies in the stomach (which may or may not morph into vultures flapping about in there!) to some people feeling so bad they are sick. It's only human. I just hope no-one has any stress-induced cardiac arrests or brain haemorrhages.

I will have a few butterflies for sure, but once the match starts they'll fly off.

    He he. I should have.

You can't avoid nerves. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated into the Nervous Wreck Collective. ;)

Watched my 1st game in 51/52 season and they have made me nervous since then. We never do it the easy way.

The last time I was this confident going into a match, was the home game vs Boro back in the Autumn. He walked to a 3-0 victory.

We'll do this, have no fear.

Although facing a team with various enforced changes can obviously signifcantly weaken the opposition, it is still 11 vs 11 on the pitch, the nerves will still be there and there is the danger of underestimating the opposition...I'm sure Adkins will be drumming it in to the players not to allow complacency to creep in. It will be interesting to see if he changes things up a bit in terms of the bench. I should imagine Bart will retain his place on the bench, but perhaps just have Martin and no RB or LB to allow more attacking options if needed.

Listen, they list David Bell as a key injured player. I played against him last July in a six a side tournament at Cobblers. I am 42, overweight, unfit and an absolute hasbeen and I last saw him climbing out my pocket.

Coventry are pants. We are going up!

Think we should have you on the bench. Just in case!
