Sadly, past experience in that continent has told us that a hundred million quid would quickly turn into new Mercs for the dictators and Kalashnikovs for their kids to kill other kids of a different tribe.
It is a shame that our season is fizzling away but what can we say? Ideally I would love us (Keegan style) to be Scouserpool and Villa but won't be mortified if we don't. At the start of the season we would have settled for 17th and we will probably be 15th or higher at the end so that will do for me.
Well if Villa beat Bolton tonight, we can all (Lambert and Culverhouse included) take a chill pill and relax for those remaining three games of the season.
Have to admit I'm rather hoping that Bolton can turn Villa over just to make things a bit more interesting. We are safe and I would love to be playing a Villa team looking over their shoulders. I reckon we are in with a shout against Liverpool although I keep thinking that at some stage they will click and give someone a hiding. Hope it's not this Saturday though!
if it's a draw tonight then we are mathmatically safe barring goal difference overturn i can see an edgy villa win
Liverpool is a game we can win. The players will be ready I'm sure of it. Lambert will want his too. But Liverpool are going to be out for the 3 points, will be a hell of a game. I predict controversy.
Is Suarez still receiving abuse over the racism with Evra? If so I don't expect the Carrow Road crowd to hold back.
