Just wondering who people would like to see come up from the Championship this season, Reading are already up, the remaining teams in contention are Southampton, West Ham, Blackpool, Birmingham, Cardiff and Middlesborough.

Personally i'd go for Southampton and Blackpool as the remaining two. Other than 6 guaranteed points I see no reason to want the scammers and Fat Sam back in our league. Blackpool were a breathe of fresh air and good to watch last season and Ian Holloway is a great bloke. Southampton are a big club who have had a rough time in recent years so probably deserve it.

id definately go for Southampton for the reasons you gave.

of the others id say Cardiff could make life intresting in the PL....as for a team that would guarantee us 6 points id say West Ham and Sam is a funny fat kun*. Middlesborough have this depressive aura about them..no thanks...Blackpool,thugs...a primark version of Mourinhio as manager and a beatable team....im going for Birmingham...our Chris Houghton deserves it <ok>

I'd like to see Birmingham back. Chrissy Hughton's done a great job there and Southampton I think. Would be good to see the Spammers stay down with a decreased parachute payment. It'll be a proper struggle for them next year. Bye bye any remotely decent players and bye bye OS... <ok>

Southampton as it will mean West Ham miss out and Birmingham because of Chris Hughton.

Southampton deffo, middlesbrough no,even though Nick Bailey is an ex Sutton United player, came through the junior and Senior ranks,Birmingham,i think because of Chris Houghton it would be good for him after the shoddy treatment from Newcastle

Saints, Blackpool or Birmingham for me. Any 2 of those 3.

Remember me telling you about my old mans 40/1 bet on reading winning the league? Yeah, he's pretty chuffed at the moment. :)

Soton and Cardiff for me. The former because otherwise it's West Ham, the latter because I always like a good rivalry in the PL and Swansea have been getting off light so far.

    Otherwise Brum for Houghton reasons.

Southampton or West Ham - Southampton all the way. Of the playoff teams Blackpool or Brum because I have time for both managers.

Southampton are a given as it will shut the Spammers up for two weeks, then Brum because of Hughton...and it will see the Spammers' magic overdraft facility rendered moot as their squad gets dismantled.

I am delighted Reading have made it as their ground is only 20 minutes from me, so the Spurs game will be a doddle to get to. My preference to join them would be Southampton as that's only about an hour from me plus they have a couple of ex-Spurs players down there. My other choice would be Birmigham because Chrissie Hughton definitely deserves another crack as a manager in the PL.

There was a time when I wouldn't have minded Blackpool being in the PL, but after seeing the way they tried to commit GBH on Gareth Bale at the Lane a year ago, they can stay where they are in the Championship.

Southampton are indeed strong favourites to come up automatically. Corals go 1/10 Saints and 11/8 West Ham.

That's where having a rent-a-soundbite manager can come in useful - it's a useful tool for diverting the clips shown from press conferences from discussing the nasty challenges your players are committing, because a quick quip about your players enthusiasm going forward makes better TV.

but that would be like West Ham getting relegated and us losing out on a guaranteed 4-6 points a season
