For those who participated in the five letter thread and would like to continue with just five letters,try this one....
the art is to change only ONE letter to create a completely new legitimate word,(and goes without saying to keep replies within forum rules and guidelines)

Example..
capes
change one letter , mix up the others ,and you get
spate
so,

try changing ONE letter in and make a new FIVE letter word out of
