Was at the pub recently and a mate of mine brought up an interesting "theory"

Could/Would/Have the FA had a word with Harry to maybe encourage a dip in form to lose the faith of the fans and board in order for him to be sacked so they don't have to pay compensation.

I don't think that could of happen'd, surely not..right ?
 
That's all a bit tinfoil hat, really.

I can see someone at the FA having a word with Redknapp and telling him that the job's his, though.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least.
 
Interesting theory there Blackboots. It is not impossible, but not very likely. Personally, I was of the opinion that the 'movers and sackers' at the FA were not that clever.... Just my humble opinion I reiterate. Thing may have changed following recent financial events they.

But it is also interesting that apart from the 2 goals at Arsenal,. Spurs HAVE NOT SCORED A SINGLE AWAY GOAL in the premiership since the 2... yes two .... scored at Man City back on the 22nd January. Harry was away talking to the judge, He surely didn't have time to talk to the FA as well., Or did he ?.

In anycase something(s) has seriously gone wrong for us., and I now think those things are management based issues.
 
So an organisation that is hugely influenced by public opinion would want to set in motion a situation where they managed to appoint a publicly failing manager who had just got sacked?

Doesn't seem very...oh - you're talking about a footballing authority? Yeah - could happen.

Absolutely ridiculous idea.
 
There are rumours flying around Twitter that Redknapp and Adebayor have had a big falling out and that Ade will not be playing for the club again this season. Something about a team meeting behind Redknapp's back organised by Ade and Kaboul. The suggestion is that Harry has completely lost the dressing room.

Obviously take with a pinch of salt until these are substantiated.

Not the only team meeting this season - Ledders organised one after the Norwich game, after all.
 
Could all be bollocks, but Adebayor's injury seemed to come from nowhere, as did several others.

could be...but i find it strange and i also find it very possible...Ade is quite opinionated and HR is a stubborn git who is happy to cut off his nose to spite his face.

Khumalo didn't suddenly get a run of games after Ledders' team meeting following the Easter weekend, so if it is true there is a lack of continuity in Harry's reaction.

It should also be noted that Lennon, walker and Kaboul were also strongly implicated in the meeting, yet Walker played 90 minutes and Lennon 45 against QPR, and if Kaboul was fit it's safe to presume he would've played the full game as well. If he singled out Adebayor, it would not be a surprise that he was given detailed instructions of how to go forth and multiply - after all, nobody else was being browbeaten for it.
 
Redknapp's showed inconsistency when handing out punishment to players before though, Croydon.
Dos Santos seems to have blacklisted himself by going out on the piss, whereas King was virtually untouched by his more serious incident of drunkenness.
Fringe players and those with a more tenuous place within the squad may receive harsher penalties.
Is that right? Depends on how you look at it, I think.
