It has just turned Monday the 23rd of April 2012. This could well be the day we remember for the rest of our lives as the day we were promoted to the Premier League. It could be the equivalent of the famous day in 1978 that Lawrie McMenemy achieved the same feat, and Nigel Adkins will be remembered forever in the same light. Who thinks this will be the day? I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'M LEICESTER TIL TUESDAY! I'M LEICESTER TIL TUESDAY! I KNOW I AM I HATE WEST HAM I'M LEICESTER TIL TUESDAY Foxes! *clap clap clap* Foxes! *clap clap clap*
Yeah, I'm the proverbial closet Leicester City fan who is coming out just for one day. Up the Foxes..!** **That reads so odd..!?! Truthfully, I'll always appreciate the job another Nigel did. Even if it was for a very short time.
this will be the most boring, anti-climatic way of gaining promotion, but i won't complain if it happens.
At the very least we should get some footage of the Saints players watching the game and celebrating, like with Reading.
It brings promotion back into the everything-to-be-sorted-before-the-Coventry-game type scenario, which is what many people wanted. Can't believe there were/are a few posters who want the it-all-hinges-on-the-last-day affair. I want to enjoy the Coventry game. Not to be found hanging off the ceiling with my fingers and toenails dug into the artex with me screaming in high pitched stressed out wails, as the precious seconds tick by. That isn't my idea of enjoyment. I'd rather weather a Force 8-10 in a sailing boat. At least I'd have some measure of deciding what was going to happen next. please log in to view this image
Can't help it. That's football. If West Ham do win, I will still be very optimistic for Coventry. We are so much better than them.
I suppose if it does happen against Coventry, we will look back and say "I'm glad it happened then and not sooner because it was the perfect way to do it." Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
i see it as a win win. If leicester win, great job done lets have a party. If west ham win then we have the chance to win it ourselves on the last day, something which will be far more satisfying.
You owe us, Foxes, after taking six points off Saints. Would rather win it on the pitch than off, but a Saturday victory lap doesn't look too shabby, either.
Want this sorted tonight. I have a vision of us outplaying Coventry all match and not being able to score with fans getting tenser and tenser and bad news coming in about the West Ham game. A draw may not be enough because of our small GD over West Ham. Sky would say it was the most exciting end to the season ever and Pompey fans would sing 'Who is laughing now.' Enough to make you wake up screaming. In fact, I dreamt last night that we had failed and had sold Ricky to Swansea. Come on Leicester.
A bit like that World Cup qualifying game against Poland in the 70's do you mean? Lets just remember not to call their goalkeeper a useless idiot!
Woke up this morning to find a fox with four young cubs playing on our lawn. It's a sign, I tell you, a sign! Come on you Foxes.
